fran  inquires  ,  picking  up  on  the  smirk  that  lingered  so  upon  his  lips.  to  end  up  a  babysitter  for  a  noisy  group  of  humes  was  , quite  honestly  not  on  fran’s  wishlist  or  dreams  for  the  future.  to  have  them  running  off  now  in  all  directions  and  doing  their  own  thing  ;  bliss.

“i  am  sure  we  can  find  a  place  with  a  nice  bath  to  share.”

her  words  come  out  with  little  thought  accompanying  them  ,  no  awareness  for  what  she’s  just  suggested.  absence  was  oft  the  case  with  fran  whenever  it  came  to  her  conversations  with  balthier  -  everything  was  just  so  natural  between  them.

“it  has  been  some  time  ,  hasn’t  it.”  not  so  much  a  question  ,  but  a  statement  to  the  fact  that  fran  (  and  her  partner  in  crime  )  had  been  absent  for  a  year  ,  if  not  more  after  their  exploits  with  the  feol  viera.  something  that  bothers  her  to  this  day.  “kept  well?  i  would  have  liked  to  have  seen  penelo  too  ,  perhaps  next  time.”
