Located at the top of a hill with 365 degree views of vineyards, Villa de Amore offers privacy, elegance, and photo ops worth a thousand words. After interviewing several local wineries as possible locations for my daughter's wedding, once we experienced the offerings and style of Villa de Amore, no other place was a contender for our celebration. Villa de Amore is a family run business with people who truly care about making the Big Day a very special occasion.
After a tour of the property by coordinator, Lauren, for an entire year we communicated with owner Eileen and her son David via email and phone. The weekend of the event we worked with Eileen's daughter Aimee and staffer, Laura. Ultimate professionals, Aimee and Laura were calm, organized, and totally understood what we wanted. We arrived with boxes of decorations, floral arrangements plus instructions, and without hesitation, every detail was implemented far exceeding our expectations. Because the team at Villa de Amore oversees weddings daily, they are experts in creating the perfect, stress-free wedding. Every step of the process from booking the venue a year in advance to the final goodbye was easy, hassle-free, and tranquil.
Unlike other venues that carry out two or more parties per day, only one celebration is executed daily between the hours of 2-10pm offering every client full run of the property with the utmost in luxury and service. A gorgeous suite dedicated exclusively to the bride and her bridesmaids awaits the girls while the groom and his groomsmen enjoy a private room complete with a pool table. The grounds are breathtakingly beautiful, with elegant garden rooms that allow for a free flowing party from one space to another. The gardens, vineyard views, waterfalls, ponds, paths, twinkling lights, and arbors exude romance. With the beauty of the venue, not much other decorating is necessary. As a major gardener and farmer, I appreciated the effort that went into establishing the manicured landscape and vineyards. At the request of my daughter and her fiancé, I hand crafted the flowers, table arrangements, bouquets, and boutonnieres for this event and was credited a percentage of the fare for the floral part of the package. We also appreciated the ability to bring in our own ceremony officiant, a fellow firefighter and close friend of the couple.
What we loved about booking our celebration with Villa de Amore is that it is a one-stop shop. Although we had choices in vendors, everything is included except the alcohol, which we preferred. Each vendor my daughter chose from their curated list was stupendous. Our remarkable team included catering by Renee Bitoni, Desserts by Elegance on Display (Jennifer Duarte), DJ John Brigante of Divine Entertainment, and Photography by Leah Marie. We enjoyed menu tastings with the caterer and baker with the ability to customize our palate pleasers. John, the talented and vivacious DJ, orchestrated the music from the moment of the guests arrival until the close of the evening, never missing a beat. For an additional fee, he provided projection of the video I produced of the couple's relationship. It added something special to the occasion. The smiling photographer Leah Marie and her team were magnificent in being everywhere with their cameras, yet never intrusive. We can't wait to view the finished product.
At most winery venues, the client is required to buy and serve only that particular winery's offerings. At Villa de Amore, we were able to bring in whatever we wished, thus assuring that the beverage offerings were exactly what the bride and groom desired to serve. Being from the vineyards of Napa Valley, it was a bonus to offer our guests a taste of the vintages of both north and south. The bartenders were professional, cordial, and did a terrific job of keeping the beverage services fluid throughout the day and evening.
Villa de Amore is designed with celebrations in mind. Ceremonies may held in a variety of outdoor spaces and the ballroom is large enough to accommodate 170 dining guests in case of inclement weather. We utilized the entire facility beginning with a ceremony on the lawns overlooking the vineyards, moving to cocktails in the courtyard, dinner and reception in the inner gardens, sunset photos in the rose garden, and dancing in the ballroom.
