Villain waited but Hero wouldn’t budge, wouldn’t offer any information. “Fine.” Villain stood, moving to the edge of the building. “I guess I’ll just have to stop your little obsession.”
Fire went up his forearm as he prepared to attack the group.
“No!” Hero ram over and grabbed thier wrist and yanked, trying desperately not to cry out from the burns quickly forming.
Villain put the fire out and snorted. “Tell me.”
Hero stood frozen in their tracks. “No.”
“You have a family?” He stepped around back go them. Hero countered and stepped back too as Villain slowly walked forward and pushed Hero further backwards. “I do.”
“My father loves me the most I think. Well. Perhaps my grandfather. He loves me a lot too. And my mother always makes me the best breakfast dinner whenever I go over during my birthday. I’ve taught my brothers how to get a good job and keep it. Taught my sister about how to help people respect her in her workplace.”
Hero’s mind clouded as tears formed in their eyes. They weren’t even aware they had reached the edge of the building till their foot didn’t land and they were falling. Only a foot before the villain caught them. “Tell me.”
“No.” Hero whispered hoarsely.
“Answer or im dropping you.” Villain held them further out. Curse their super strength.
“It does to me Hero~” He sang. “Three-“
“No It’s Not a big deal. It’s Just-“
“I know them!” Hero blurted, expecting it to be too late. Expecting to fall. To crash. To cry. To scream. To slowly die. In pain and in misery.
Villain would leave them alone and if Villain didn’t pay attention to them anymore. If Villain grew tired of them. No one else… alone. Alone. Alone. Alone. Alone.
Villain lifted them back up and set them on their own two feet. But Hero crumbled.
They sat down and held thier legs as Villain crouched next to them. “Are you afraid i will hurt them?”
Hero didn’t know if they should lie or not. That should have been their first thought. To protect others. Instead they were here, selfish, wishing for themselves…
Villain hummed at the lack of response and traced Hero’s jaw. “What are you so afraid of…”
