i know it wasn’t a canon death but there’s something deeply comedic about jack and niki missing tommy with a literal nuclear missile only for him to fall and die not even an hour later because sam nook sent one vaguely concerning message

Tommy offering Eret drugs in exchange for 16 hearts of the sea? Tommy threatening to headbutt Eret? Eret taking off her glasses and crown and Tommy smoothing his hair? Eret ending up giving Tommy 8 hearts of the sea for free and not getting upset when Tommy refused to say he owed Eret one?

Puffy giving Tommy her pickaxe as soon as she gets confirmation he'll give it back? Her not getting mad when he said he wasn't giving it back? Her calmly getting it back from him and promising to make him his own? And holding true to it?

Sam playing Sam Nook again right after something traumatic happened to him? Him being able to distract Tommy by sending him off to get something without forcing him to?

Tommy got more love and tolerance from adults in one video then he has during the entirety of the smp. The new and better found family is going real well (other than one of them possibly losing their sanity and all).

these clips are so interesting because it puts everything we’ve seen these past few streams into such a different perspective.

c!sam (and sam nook) was not only told by c!dream about what was done to c!tommy in exile, he’s also seen c!tommy’s trauma make him confused about what he wants, the “i don’t want wilbur back…or i do, i’m sorry sam, i get confused easily” “that’s alright, life’s confusing” interaction comes to mind. he’s helped c!tommy with the hotel and giving him a new purpose and tried to teach him, not through violence but guidance.

when c!badboyhalo talked about how powerful the eggpire would become if they had c!tommy and his influence on their side, c!sam’s first response was talking about how c!tommy’s mental health had priority, and c!puffy spoke loudly about how c!tommy and c!tubbo were children. how much the exile cost c!tommy. we finally had not only, but two good parental figures, and now one of them has been thrown to the egg

Thinking about how c!Tommy was actually nervous about talking to Sam Nook because he didn’t get all the red dye…. thinking about how he genuinely thought c!Sam was gonna be angry with him… thinkin about how he kept apologizing and sounded *scarily similar* to exileinnit,,, thinking about how he said “ohhhh no he’s upset with me.. :(((” When c!Sam really hadn’t done anything to make him think that (c!tommy just assumed that sam would be mad)- thinking about how if c!Tommy ever questions the tasks c!Sam gives him he’ll look at the sword c!Sam sometimes holds and immediately stop talking- going “Okay, nevermind, sorry…” in a nervous tone- even when sam has made it explicitly clear that he WILL NOT hurt him (like, no matter what). Thinking about how c!tommy’s clearly still affected by what c!Dream did…
