1928
Marie Empress (1884-1919), here ca. 1918, was a British singer, dancer and actress. Her films are all lost, no recordings survive, and she herself became lost forever during her journey from England to the US on the Cunard Liner SS Orduna. Missing the day before docking, she was never seen again.
