I've reopened the store btw!

I'm still working on my first venture into putting my art on a button up shirt, because I don't want to just toss my art into a redbubble-like service where its just slapped randomly onto everything from hats to bath mats and nothing looks aligned on purpose-- I am actively having test samples of a specific design sent to me and trying to make it look nice, and i'm still fixing it !!

But if I like how it looks, if I get a feel for how the production and shipping works, I'll make more than just one thing lol.

Hello vintage! So concerning the morning glories.

I thought the whole “chemical lobotomy” with psychoactive seeds was just storytelling but there are actually studies researching how Psychoactive Drugs increases neuroplasticity. (Your brains ability to rewire). Some studies even suggest this method could be used to treat ASD. Did you know this? I just think it’s very cool that this is so plausible in real life. This blog isn’t autobiographical… is it?

Its Cecil! The adoptive uncle of Emily from the setting of Sugarcane, an original character I haven't drawn in so long.

In all sincerity, I keep that as my blog header in some hopes it makes me finally work on Sugarcane again. That setting embodies my whole personality i think, its the reason I'm called Vintagecandy, but I just have never been able to make myself sit down and make a finished idea out of it so i just kinda. look at it in the corner of my eye lol 🥲

My class voted this short as the best of the class and I received a small fluffy star keychain as a trophy and named him Lucky.

Anyways-- let's adopt these monster twins as new OCs I guess! What should I name them? I welcome any suggestions.

So! What I'm thinking of doing is... a lot of things.

For one, I hope to reopen the Etsy store soon I promise! I closed it during finals because of both too much to do but also there is a problem with the printers, so I'm going to need to resolve that but I hope to do so soon! I just also have to move back and forth between home and the dorm, which is also why I tend to shut it down around this time of year.

But, I also want to start making patterned prints for clothing, and this won't be printed by me which is more reliable... but I'll talk more about that when we get there.

For now! I know I... still have about a dozen of those ask memes left, but I think I'm going to go ahead and move on to only doing those selectively when I don't know what to draw since its been half a year *cough*-- but I do want to draw Morning Glory related things again, which... was a lot of the requests anyways haha. I really want to practice..... "art direction"(?) with Morning Glory-- I want to teach myself how to capture the mood lighting of blanket forts beneath harsh sunlight-- I want to draw what their living environments look like if I can make myself do backgrounds. OR If I have the time...... I might try to start on an animation.

I'm definitely in the "feeling things out" era of my art so I apologize if I'm extremely indecisive, I'm just learning a lot of new info right now, but

right this moment i want. sleep. and. to dip in a pool.

Tee? As in a T-Shirt? Sometimes I feel like I leave my own blog for a few weeks and come back to people setting up small civilizations-- 😂

Please, please, please understand that every one of the Morning Glory cast is still deeply under construction. In fact, going to university and learning production design-- it makes me only want to redesign them more! Their designs are fluid and rapidly changing. I don't recommend trying to make merch of anything now. ( its why i haven't myself lol ) Adam himself is the most set in stone, being the oldest character design he's nearly finalized, but his back tattoo is definitely not solidified yet. As a general rule, go with the newest appearance of any character I draw, but bare in mind it might be temporary.

Hello there! Once again, sorry this is late, but I am now officially out of school for the summer, so I can be around more consistently at least for a few months! Sorry for the massive dips in and out, I keep being shocked by how time consuming animation classes are ( for some reason lmao )

Yeah though, Adam is gay and gender non-confirming! In character, he won't always say this so directly, especially because he's from the 60s, but he's written to be pansexual. If you ask him though, he'll say he's attracted to people's energy.

No worries, I'm not going to tell you if you're wrong about any ships of the characters! I just don't want fanart posted depicting ships, simply because it would skew the general reputation of the cast, I don't want people thinking something is widely canon if there's no media to point to as the "canon" story yet and then expecting it of me.
