De Ponte Cellars 2011 Pinot Noir, Dundee Hills
This Pinot Noir shows a distinctive nose with plenty of raspberry and floral aromas specifically violet and jasmine. Clean, pure and balanced, this wine is already seductive thanks to its palate of fresh fruit combined with hint of mint and caramel, giving it a long delightful finish. The 2010 Dundee Hills has all the typical elegance of its appellation. Beautiful to enjoy now, but this wine will continue to improve with bottle age as well.

Betz Family Winery 2011 'Bésoleil', Yakima Valley
Washington southern Rhone varieties continue their winning streak, proving to excel in cool and hot vintages. Fans of this Southern Rhone-inspired wine will note that there’s no Counoise in the 2012 blend as there has been in recent vintages; that variety ripened fine, but they lacked the penetrating character needed to complement the final wine. The Mourvedre fraction (15%) stepped right up to fill its place, its deep, brooding and sweet ink character carrying through in the wine, making the 2012 deeper, more structured yet finely layered. Grenache (50%) still dominates the blend, with its creamy black raspberry, wild dried strawberry, dried herbs and floral notes. Cinsault (20%) fills in with its dusty blue notes, and Yakima Valley Syrah (15%) provides more backbone. This is a Bésoleil for the cellar, dense and full, and a few years of aging will expand its Chateauneuf-like appeal.

Mighty Nimble from Paso Robles
Mighty Nimble 'Rock Candy', Paso Robles
2011 Rock Candy - 260 cases produced
50% Syrah, 30% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre
Ohana Vineyard
Alcohol 14.5%
Rock Candy continues to impress with it's easy going Paso Robles style. This fruit was fermented in my classic method: a long cold soak followed by a native yeast fermentation and early pressing for the additional savory characteristics that are imparted by barrel fermentation. Aging in 100% neutral French oak for 19 months allows the true nature of Ohana to shine through.
The name Rock Candy refers to one of my favorite aroma memories, when my mom used to make my sister and I lollipops as children.
Explosive nose of blackberry jam, candy apple and orange marmalade with chewy, rich, ripe berry fruit flavors. Firm and full bodied on the palate with soft, ripe tannins and a long finish.
Mighty Nimble 2013 'Cat Be Nimble', Paso Robles
100% Chenin Blanc
When given the opportunity to purchase Chenin blanc in 2013 from 40 year-old vines at Cat Canyon Vineyard, I made a quick decision to pounce. This unique site in Santa Barbara County produces fruit with amazing structure, clean minerality and understated elegance. The resulting wine, 2013 Cat Be Nimble, is 100% Chenin blanc, fermented and aged in stainless steel. I made 92 cases. The wine has amazing aromatics of lemon curd, chamomile and fresh-cut alfalfa. A lovely, tightly balanced wine, Cat Be Nimble is clean and fresh with flavors of honeydew melon and nectarine. It finishes dry with good acidity and flavor length. It's lean style and fresh character make it a great wine for summer sipping, so stock up while you can!

SPELL 2012 Chardonnay, Sonoma
Located less than a mile west of the town of Graton in Sonoma County, the Dutton Sullivan Vineyard was planted in 1982 to a heritage selection of Wente Chardonnay on its own rootstock. With its proximity to the Pacific Ocean the growing season of warm, sunny days followed by cool, foggy evenings allows for a slow and even ripening. The extremely small clusters and berries grown at this vineyard produce wines of remarkable flavor and texture.

Skywalker Vineyards 2013 Rosé of Pinot Noir
There will be many words written about the fabulous 2013 vintage. The grapes for this wine are picked at first light, destemmed and left to cold-soak for twenty four hours prior to pressing im-parting a delicate color. Once pressed and allowed to undergo natural fermentation by indigenous yeast it is left to stabilize during the cold winter months and bottled in the Spring. This Skywalker Rosé wine is perfect for Summer.

B. Kosuge 2012 Chardonnay, Sonoma Coast
Chardonnay in 2012 is quite different than in 2011. In 2011, you could make the case that the wines truly were Burgundian—racy acidity, lots of energy, lean but concentrated. In 2012, my Chardonnay is what you might called “restrained Californian,” a bit more sweet fruit, not quite as lean as 2011, prettier. A floral note to the flavors, perhaps, but not tropical. A reflection of the sunnier season. - B. Kosuge

We were thrilled given the opportunity to once again represent a wine crafted by Celia Welch. She has been a winemaking consultant for several prestigious California wineries also produces her own label CORRA an ultra-premium Cabernet Sauvignon from the Napa Valley. Celia sees winemaking as a joint-effort of team members, she says “None of us are doing this 100 percent by ourselves”, and the handcrafted 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon from Hollywood and Vine is no exception. The 2011 conveys an elegance layered with earthen masculinity, that may be better described as ‘tom-boyishness’ with finesse and elegance.

Araujo Estate is located in the northeast Napa Valley, just east of Calistoga. The estate was established around the Eisele Vineyard, first planted over 125 years ago and principally dedicated to Cabernet Sauvignon for the past 50 years. Since the inaugural release bearing the Eisele name in 1971, this unique vineyard has been widely recognized as one of the greatest terroirs in the Napa Valley.
For the past 23 years, Daphne and Bart Araujo developed the property's potential, bringing it to the status of California “First Growth”. In 2013, the historic vineyard was acquired by the Pinault family and Groupe Artemis. With humility, curiosity and commitment to excellence, we
embrace the idea of enabling this extraordinary place to speak its clearest voice.
In vineyard and winery alike, the team will spare no effort to achieve the most exacting quality while extending and building upon the legacies of the past.
As stewards of this iconic vineyard, we employ organic and biodynamic practices in farming and winemaking, reinforcing the unique terroir in the wines and ensuring the health of the soil and vines now and for future generations. Through obsessive attention to detail and driven by quest for perfection, we strive to produce singular wines of place, of the Eisele Vineyard.

Peter Michael Estate Chardonnay 2013 'Belle Cote', Knights Valley, Sonoma
The rich seamless palate is very creamy and weighty in the mouth. Notes of brioche, almond and pain grillé coupled with natural acidity and minerals complete the mouth feel. The wine will continue to develop for at least two decades.
