Every time I read about Hollywood & cinema I think “George Lucas was right” 40 years ago. The only reason Star Wars exists past the first movie at all was because the studio thought the rights were worthless. George Lucas spent his whole lifetime founding a haven for artists and filmmakers like himself and I’m not unconvinced Disney has violated that somehow someway when it bought Skywalker Ranch and everything that it entailed

George Lucas, the creator of Star Wars, has his own fire department with one fire truck. He originally had two, but donated one to a nearby volunteer fire department. There are ~10 firefighters in his department and they protect his Skywalker Ranch and surrounding areas from wild fires. – WTF Fun Facts
