I just thought it was so cool how this tree grew around this dead tree. It looked like something out of a Tim Burton movie.

So! I took my tortoise on a walk today and I was also on the lookout for a praying mantis because they’re one of my favorite animals and I haven’t held one yet this year. So I’m walking ahead of Gaia and I look back and it looks like a twig is stuck on her face. As I get closer, I realize it’s a praying mantis! Hitching a ride on my tortoise! How amazing and random is that? I’m so happy! My animal loving vibes must of kicked in 💕

Today’s adventure with Gaia (and our two cats, Selene and Sweet Pea) included the fresh scent of roses, a cool wonderful breeze, a praying mantis hitching a ride on Gaia’s head, the neighborhood cats following us all around, and enjoying a finally cool breezy day here in the valley.
