a sigh managed to unwillingly escape her control the moment the other repeated what Mitsuru could only imagine, was another of the Chairman’s horrible pun – which Aigis, much like a kid, had made hers for the momentary explanation. aside from the adult’s interest in Aigis’ reactions when copious crowds would be surrounding her in public spaces, Mitsuru had made of the occasion the best chance to get a bit of fresh air and instruct Aigis – perhaps with the delicacy and personality that lab scientists, and maybe the Chairman himself, might have somehow lacked. plus, Aigis seemed extremely interested too.
« Ah, the games. Yes, the different stands will host the most various competitions. We could try some, there’s usually a prize for the winner too. »
slowing her walking pace for an instant, while attempting to remember clearly what the games had consisted in - during last year’s summer festival, Mitsuru’s glance lowered to the ground; her geta felt okay at her feet, comfortable for now… she could have called Aigis lucky for not having any necessities of wearing those shoes for a prolonged lapse of time. they sure did make lots of noise against the asphalt. but anyway, she was grateful the other’s dress was enough long enough to cover perfectly her lower limbs. it had taken her a while to perfectly make her wear it, tie the belts and garments around the slim, firm wait… but overall, Aigis’ figure and posture did help her a lot naturally, too.
« Lucky fishing, shooting cans… it’s all easier shown than explained. But festival stands usually offer quick treats and meals as well. One way or another for people to kill time while waiting for fireworks, I presume. »
while almost there, with the set of stairs leading up to the shrine, Mitsuru felt a sparkle of relief ignite her good mood anew. they could have enjoyed themselves, first and foremost. that was not the time or place to still be at work, for both the girls.
« I wonder if the others will be there too… ? »
There was so much to observe on their walk to the shrine. A good percentage of the people were also dressed in yukata. There were clear differences in skill on tying them and in the quality of the garment. Information she had no parameters with which to process but served as a reminder of Mitsuru-san’s skill and stature.
The wood of her geta and the metal of her own limbs made their approach lack any sort of stealth. But that did not seem to be a concern. It was strange, despite her design being so contingent on looking and appearing human- she had spent so little time around them. She had only been in operation for such a short period of her lifespan. There was so much to observe and learn. A prospect which she found herself enjoying? Her programming must include some human curiosity since she found herself eager to make it to the festival even more.
❝ A prize? I did not realize the festival was also a competition. ❞
Mitsuru-sans description of the games did little for her. Fishing in a place with no body of water for one seemed impossible. And shooting? For shadows it was necessary but at cans incomprehensible. It did however sounds like a game in which she would excel, being as she was equipped with her own arsenal. Food was of little interest as it was unnecessary to her. However....
❝ I have never seen fireworks. ❞
Their approach to the shrine had significantly increased the number of people. Tonight must be a popular night to attend. Staying close would be imperative.
❝ I do not know but it will be hard to tell with this crowd. ❞
