There were two really amazing apps that I had in my inbox for Helen. They have been one of my favorites since the beginning and I was so happy to see two amazing interpretations of them. But something about Gia dazzled me in the way I wanted to be dazzled by Helen. A truly lovely and dedicated mother, but someone who also wants the glitz and the glam (in the way it means to Gia) I’m really excited to see her play out with this bunch.
Violl’s Cove frequently gets caught up in terrible rain storms. It’s not uncommon for the city to be trapped for a week, maybe two, from the rest of the country. Storms are heavy for the next seven days, the bridges have been closed off leading into Delaware. While this is common, it’s a typical annoyance for many of the people in Violl’s Cove. While grocery stores have plenty to give, and there’s no imminent threat, it means some over less than savory things.
Water rises, causes Sirens to be in a threatening situation. Many are found washing up onto shore, unable to make their way back into the ocean. Some rescue groups help try to return them, but not all of them make it back safely.
Every day is a rain storm. when it’s not raining, it’s windy and muggy. No one can be seen outside since it’s a muddy disaster. Traffic is slow, people get restless for no reason other than the fact that they can’t leave if they really wanted to (it’s not a common thing anyways. Everything you need is in Violl’s Cove).
Hopefully you can make it until the sun comes out.
OOC INFORMATION:
Here we have the second event! This one isn’t as interactive as the first one, so interactions don’t even have to involve the storm going on if you don’t want it too! These are just things going on at Violl’s Cove. These sort of happenings are pretty typical in VC so people might not even be phased by a week long rainstorm. Or maybe your character feels the need to participate in the help. The world is your oyster!

An update regarding acceptance tonight, I had some people come forward asking for extensions, which I had not been counting on. For those people to have the chance they deserve, I’m going to accept Tomorrow at 8pm CST, that way those individuals who want to apply have their chance. I will not be extending past Monday, however.
Howdy, gang! A little note to bring up to those thinking about applying! I’m going to be having an acceptance on SUNDAY, 8PM CST. While you might think this is a typical acceptance, be warned! After this acceptance, regardless of the results, Violl’s Cove will turn private (or semi private). Meaning, I will likely stop promoting in the tags, or having acceptances on the regular. I don’t really intend to expand the size of this group until there’s success with the current characters here (so it’ll be a long while). If you’d like to join, now’s your chance!
Whatever skeletons are left after Sunday will be left for current members to apply for and take up. If you don’t think you’ll be able to apply in time for Sunday, please let me know. As always, if you have questions, please reach out.

So, you want to go for seconds, eh? Glad to hear it! Here’s a little bit about how you can go about seconds, and what I’ll be expecting!
First off, I’m going to be a bit picky. Not in app quality, because I already know you guys are super and talented! But there’s certainly things I’d like to see in order to balance out the functionality of the group. You’ve got two choices here:
You can apply with whatever vision you have, point blank, and hope that i accept it as is. If there’s things I’d like to see differently, I’ll message you to see if there’s some flexibility on aspects i’d like to see changed.
Or you can first message me with your vision and we can have a dialogue about your plans, tweaking as you go and avoiding all the work of writing out an app for me to turn around and ask for it to be changed.
In the end, I still want you to have a character you’re passionate about! However, I would like to see some edges buffed out with the group.
If you have ideas as of currently, you are more than welcome to message me! However, nothing can be guaranteed.

You captured something in Shiloh that I really appreciated. Adolescence is a disease that infects us all. And unfortunately, Shiloh seems trapped in that world. I hope this journey here helps her break free of that rut in her life. I’m excited to see her play out on the dash.

There is not. Violl’s Cove is still a pretty big small town. I consider it more of a suburban city more than anything else (even if they’re on their own island) So anything you’d like, it’s likely there. I didn’t feel there was a need for an around the town page for this reason.
