hi everyone!! I'm really, really, REALLY super sorry I haven't been here. I see all those unread messages and I feel awful...

Truth is, I hated having to go in and block/report people every time I logged in here. It got too stressful and the more I tried to keep nasty people away, the more they came, no matter what I did... i just stopped wanting to come on this blog altogether, bc I stopped being able to regress after having to expose myself to nasty stuff just to block and report people.

So, I've decided to move, yet again, to another blog! I needed a fresh start and honestly, I've been enjoying myself a lot over there!! It's called @vios-happy-place and it's exactly what it sounds like: my happy place, filled with all the things that make me happy and no icky/depressing stuff (right now im beyond excited for Animal Crossing New Horizons so I'm posting a LOT of that ^^)

Ahhh ohmygosh i was just reminded of a game i used to have and all these memories unlocked that i didnt even realize i still had

I cant like or reblog the post bc i didnt realize i went against the dni (and i made sure to unfollow as well, don't wanna make anyone uncomfortable) but seeing that made me really really happy

Also I was gonna make a separate post about it after this but I'm just gonna say it here and get it out of the way:

If you have a DNI in your bio and you put DNI banners on your posts, but the banner includes something that is not in your bio, please put it in your bio as well. I don't want anyone else making the same mistake I almost just did. I get really really anxious and triple check DNIs and if something is too vague I don't follow or interact at all. The last thing I want is to break a DNI on accident because something was unclear or something wasn't specified and I don't wanna get in trouble for that.

📚 Bedtime Stories for Littles 📚

✨ After a day of adventures in little space, it’s nice to settle down in bed and read a good book. However, I know that not all little space cadets are able to get their hands on books that can make them feel real little, but there are plenty of resources online! ✨

☆ Check with your local library to see if they offer an e-book and audio book service. Many support Overdrive, which offers hundreds of children’s books and even some videos! As long as you have a library card, you’ll be able to access them for free!

☆ Storytime with Ms. Becky is a youtube channel with a female host, who’s videos consists of scans of the books, accompanied by shots of the host reading overlaid atop the scans. Nice for those who like the personal connection of reading, as it’s presented in a format similar to a teacher reading it to the class. Uploads twice a week.

☆ Books Read Aloud for Children is a youtube channel with a male narrator, who’s videos consists of a recording of the physical picture book. Nice for those who like page turning sounds and seeing the 2 page illustrations at once. Uploads weekly.

☆ Storyline Online is presented by the (American) Screen Actors Guild, meaning that celebrities read you stories! The videos consists of shots of the actor, interspersed between semi-animated illustrations of the book they’re reading.

☆ Cbeebies Bedtime Stories is a playlist containing a portion of the British celebrity readings produced by Cbeebies. Similarly to Storyline Online, their videos consists of shots of the actor, interspersed between normal illustrations of the book they’re reading.

☆ I highly recommend The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin if you want a long book series you can listen to as you wind down. Although they did originally come with pictures books, they can be followed along without, as they were intended to be read by a friendly animatronic talking teddy bear.

However, if you want a fuller experience, these videos of the first, second, and third books are wonderfully edited to include animations from the cartoon, illustrations, and Teddy, and his friend, Grubby themselves. My eyes can’t help but start drifting shut if I’m tucked in and start listening ❤
