𝒘hat does connecting with your dr even mean? well, connecting with one of your drs can mean different things for everybody! in my opinion, it means getting closer to the alignment of the perspective of your cr mind and your dr mind. when we shift, we alter our perception on the world. by doing things in our cr brain get more closely align with our dr, we can get closer to that line that changes our perception, the line that makes us shift.

— in my script for my the last of us 2 dr, i’ve written a journal entry for the first time i shifted! it was actually pretty corny… but it was really fun for me to make and made be hone in on the little details, like what i’d be feeling as soon as i wake up. and im also a sucker for making random layouts and little doodles, sooo yeah!

— okayy this one might be a little self-centered and not niche at all but! i always make a hyper-specific playlist for any occasion, and so i thought: why not make one for another reality? a good get-ready playlist is an amazing way to show off the vibes for that day, so i would recommend playing it in your cr whilst you get ready, if you’re planning to shift later! anddd you can do it for different occasions, like a birthday or what songs you would cry to vs what songs would make you feel confident! are those different than this reality? what makes it different?
೯⠀⁺ ⠀ 𖥻 03 ⠀ᰋ : 𝒂nswer interview questions
— this one is also talked about a lot, but it truly does wonders for me! especially for fame drs, interview questions make you stop and think about what your dr self would say in that exact moment, and why your mindset is placed there. for non fame-drs, the point can still stand! having the questions come from somebody you haven’t met before, or even a memory of meeting your s/o or someone important in your life, romantic or not.
೯⠀⁺ ⠀ 𖥻 04 ⠀ᰋ : 𝓶ake your dr social media accounts
— this one issss unfortunately catered to modern drs, but still insanely fun nonetheless! captions, bios, profile pics, all something that can help you feel a step closer to your dr self. there’s this one website that i am absolutely obsessed with, called postfully - unfortunately you can’t make profiles here YET but you can make text messages / smaus and i adore it.
೯⠀⁺ ⠀ 𖥻 05 ⠀ᰋ : ꫀat food that your dr self would
— food!! lowkey embarrassing but i have sections in my scripts and pinterest boards for the food in my dr. it’s a big motivation factor for me 𐔌՞ ܸ.ˬ.ܸ՞𐦯. making some of the food that’s in your dr or even having small snacks that your dr self would eat and such. for example, i have a better cr where im a writer who lives above a cafe that i own (aka barista fic storyline with my s/o hehe), so i might take myself on a solo cafe date and order a coffee with a small pastry while working on my script!
