Hello tumblr. Yesterday I finished reading roberto bolaño's nazi literature in the americas (not a big book at all but it took me five billion years for some reason) and I found it very very good. Goodbye
I miss posting on here a bit... but I barely have anything to say. This year I got super into jd salinger (-___-) which was my favorite when I was a child and has miraculously become one of my favorites now as well. I loved the glass family stories, especially franny & zooey + raise high the roof beam (I like franny and seymour the most), and I found that catcher (which was probably my first favorite novel ever) still holds up incredibly well. I felt very touched when I re-read it (I did it at the end of last year, because I wanted to be in sync with holden...). I got a lovely boyfriend that unfortunately lives in another state but #ItsAlright. I moved back to my parents' after a little less than a year "living with" a friend (even then I was always sort of in-between places) and developed some sort of bizarre anxiety and fears and became sort of terrible/dysfunctional with really simple tasks but #ItsAlright also. I took 2 translation classes in college (one of which was practical and one of which was historical) and it was awesome. In general or at least right now I'm very very happy (even with the fears and anxiety and dysfunction) ----- it's all normal and possible. And I really like Bolaño my favorite forever 💋🙂🔥 & I need to read distant star now...

Something insane I have to admit also is that when I was first getting into the beach boys and like Pet sounds and etc I felt very called to Dennis Wilson because I thought he looked just like the younger brother in the intrusa movie. Do you see it ?
^ Guy who only knows A Intrusa 1979 seeing a blond man for the first time like wow getting a lot of A Intrusa vibes from this one 🤔
woow ok
I'm pretty sure I had gone through this article before (it's Daniel Balderston's The "Fecal Dialectic": Homosexual Panic and the Origins of Writing in Borges), at the same time it feels like I'm reading it for the first now so IDK. I asked my literary theory professor (who's Argentinian and made us read one billion borges stories so far. Smile 👼) about the intrusa movie and the intrusa story and this is what he sent me to read. I don't really know how or what to think about it, though I know I need to gather some thoughts eventually because I'm sure he's going to ask me about it. Also Isn't alma always a feminine noun in Spanish? Do Not try and fuck with me, American scholar...
