Artisan-made. A term not be taken lightly and not to be confused with "handmade". Artisan-made truly means just that - the artisan themselves made it! When a product is artisan-made, a design isn't passed off to someone else to create your product (as it often is with 'handmade' products). Instead, the person who conceived the idea, thought out the design, made (many!) prototypes, tested it on themselves first, passed it along to family and friends, accepted feedback, then finally figured out the right process, is the person who makes your piece. Artisans are truly invested in their work and when you buy from an artisan you are supporting creativity and small businesses. Visco is proud to identify as an ARTISAN-MADE jewelry brand. Our earrings are wire-wrapped in gold, one semiprecious stone at a time. Our bracelets aren't machine threaded or made in mass production. Each one is hand strung and closed by the designer (me! 👋). Our sterling-silver tags are hand-stamped with my nonna's signature. No machines or third parties involved.
