The mountains of Liyue were the best locations for not only the views but also collecting Cor Lapis. Which Nix was in the middle of breaking a chunk of it off from an outcrop she had found, using her bare hands. This was a great time to restock on her raw materials while she had the chance. Perhaps if she was lucky enough, there would be some jade around as well. Though the oni paused for a moment as she spied a familiar head of red hair on the path. “Childe? Is that you?”

Honestly, it was the sound that had drawn Childe up this way. Great crackling sounds, like something solid being wrenched apart until it split, the thunder of earth and stone, are hard to ignore on a good day- especially for someone prone to seeking out dangerous things.

Of course, he certainly wasn’t expecting to find a familiar figure here, holding a chunk of Cor Lapis in her hand like the proverbial child with the cookie jar. She calls out to him and her voice identifies her immediately.

“Hey there!” He kicks up his pace to a light jog to cross the distance between them, expression bright and excited at this strange turn of events. Upon closer inspection, it’s clear that the jagged edges of the shattered outcropping in front of her match the ones of the chunk in her hands. He lets out a low whistle, then asks curiously, “What did you use to do that?”

After all, there isn’t a weapon in sight.

So it was Childe! Nix thought as much and seeing him jog over brought a small smile to her face. It was always nice to see a familiar face out in the wilderness like this. Made the journey a little less lonely at times. Though his question did seem to confuse her a little. What did she use to get the cor lapis out? To her, it was obvious since it was simply how she did things now but tended to forget it wasn't normal. Regardless, her friend was going to get the answer but probably didn't see it coming.

"My hands. I can't exactly expect my tome to do anything to rocks. Did you need some Cor Lapis, Childe? I don't mind giving you some raw materials if you've been looking for them." The oni had been busying herself around this mountain for a good part of the day. Liyue was an absolute treasure trove for finding good materials for her craft.

I’m likely going to be a little scarce for a while. Not sure when I’ll be back on like I used to be. Just long.. looong story short, gotta bum rush the rest of packing to be in a new place by December 1st. Just a LOT is going to be going on and I don’t know if I’ll have the energy to do things until we’re all settled in.

“I know I can ask for help, Hakuno.. It’s just difficult at times.” Nix needed plenty of assistance during her recovery from all her physical injuries. She even required assistance after the wounds had healed for some time after that, seeing as she forgot a great many of things. So it felt like the silverette had all the help she needed for quite a long time. Wouldn’t it be selfish of her to ask for it for something so minor in comparison? The woman should be capable of helping herself by now no matter what right? “I can handle myself though.”

The festival in Mondstadt was coming to a close soon but that didn’t mean Nix wasn’t enjoying it still. The breeze felt so comforting as she sat atop a grass covered hill that over looked the market. “I have to admit, I see why people at least love the smell of wine. It has a nice aroma, not that I ever drank any.” As far as she could remember anyway, which wasn’t saying too much due to anything before a year or two was a complete blank. “Hmm.. It does make me curious though.”

 To be honest, Nix really should’ve asked the individual before her why he was looking the previously missing client. She just heard Childe was looking for him as well and so worked together to find this location in the end. “I’m glad you have found what you were looking for. As for my connection..” It didn’t escape her eye that the red head was fishing precious gems out of the sands and water. So she reached into her bag to carefully bring out a small cloth pouch. “That man approached me with a commission and handed me these gems. Before I could ask him what he wanted them placed into, he had disappeared into the crowd. So I’ve been trying to find him to either return them or finally get an answer.. Are you looking for these too?”

“Sinbad, I’ll be fine..” Nix stood still as he wiped the blood off her face, the source of it being a scratch on her cheek. She was narrowly able to evade the arrow fired her way but it still managed to graze her. “It’s just a scratch compared to what it could’ve done. Are you hurt..?”
