Originally, I tried to create layered arcs, like eroded stone structures. The main theme here is erosion, weathering, and time, inspired by Antelope Canyon (pictured above). I got the idea by thinking about beautiful landmarks that a blind person would not be able to see, but could feel. I found an image of Antelope Canyon, riddled with textures, and wanted to create a piece that would mimic the layers and flowing of the stone.
I am currently making a 3D printed sculpture, should have a picture up soon!

the burger king logo is pretty well designed-- this may sound kinda sad, but i only just now caught on that the logo is a burger... The words are the patties and the buns hold it all together.
Mercer University buildings show a tight grid structure along the walls- windows and jutting structures all fall within the grid.
Thankful for family, food, and post-thanksgiving camping
In the class trip to the Museum of Arts and Sciences, I was drawn to the newest exhibit, which displayed the paintings of the Chatov’s; a man, his father, and his uncle. They primarily painted portraits, each with different styles. Some were very geometric, with heavy and thick brushstrokes, while others were very photorealistic, smooth, and carefully made. They were each beautiful, nonetheless.
I also loved the small pottery exhibit, just outside of the Chatov’s display rooms. Though I can not make 3D art like it, the beautiful pots and urns inspired me to create. The colors, etched designs, and glazes were amazing.

When looking up, the lines in the swirly staircase create a sense of fun, adventure, and wonder. The swirls under the steps also work to create this atmosphere. There is also a sense of endless ascending, as well.

I like this vector image because it is simple and very stylized. The colors are calm and muted. It reminds me of graphic novels and illustrations, which I find very aesthetically pleasing.
I couldn't find the title to this piece by Judy Pfaff, but it was my favorite of the works I viewed. To me, it makes me think of the changes seen in nature in the transitional period between fall and winter. The warm oranges transition into cold grays, and the leaves remind me of the falling of leaves as the weather gets colder.
