Looking back at the 3rd Sparking! Hyper poster, I should’ve been more faithful to the original material.

That is why I chose to give it another shot and use a different reference this time. I was originally gonna rely on the Army of Darkness poster (as well as some artwork from POSTAL Redux), but I chose the cover of Visions by Stratovarius instead, because it was far simpler and videogame-esque, much like their music. It has the right amount of obscure and strange imo.

And yes, the yellow text at the bottom is a DBZA reference, because I made him do the Solar Flare. lol

EDIT: I am abandoning this site in 2024, because of the bots. Either that, or do what I’ve been doing all this time (aka browsing/scrolling/lurking), just a lot less frequently. In my book, I’ll still be done with Tumblr. Sorry, not sorry.

Bit of a late post, I know, but since the Gohan poster got the most votes on Twitter (that, and Oppenheimer coming soon), I felt like remastering it a lot.

The explosion is bigger, more opaque, and more red around the edges. The gradient used for the ground is also more emphasized, as it goes from red to orange to brown. The biggest changes involved Gohan: he now has rim lighting, darker & more accurate shading, as well as proper color correction (his skin color for example is similar to that of the explosion).

As mentioned before, the first poster will still be the main poster, but at least I won’t feel like this one is overrated now - the votes have been backed up thankfully!

Just when I thought I had forgotten something.

Here is the last poster for Sparking! Hyper, mostly improvised but still inspired by The Evil Dead. Kinda hard to tell, I know, but what give it away are Android #16 raising his arm a bit, and the dutch angle.

I ran a poll on Twitter, and this got the least amount of votes, despite having put the most work into it. Not necessarily a bad thing though, because it was planned from the beginning that the first poster would be the main poster (my personal favorite), and the other two would just be alternate covers.

Two alternative posters for Sparking! Hyper (second one's more of a joke), both inspired by the memeworthy pose Mario makes in the Super Mario Sunshine poster. More importantly, this was inspired by the Squilliam Fancyson meme made by Clarissa_Arts on Twitter.

Other than that, the next poster I'm gonna make will likely be the last one. Then, I can actually focus on the ISO, or perhaps work on its back cover. Who knows what the future holds.

A very clear mockery of the American Psycho poster, subtly inspired by Tenkaichi 2’s cover art (as seen by the sword reflection).

I plan on making two more posters, featuring Future Gohan and Imperfect Cell.
