He probably was wondering where tf Earthus was, imagine getting abandoned TWICE by your parents/parent figure before even reaching the age 12. Nevermind that in his later years he would be left to rot in prison when he thought he would've been broken out of.
Honestly I think constantly eating dirt/stone wouldn't be too healthy. Since they don't really provide proper nutrition/calories for the body.
Headcanon that he used to use his bandana as a scarf.

His automatic reaction to seeing them outside his door is asking what they did. I’m almost sure Zeke and Colin are meant to be some of the youngest out of all the slayers by the way, others treat them and they are called kid.
I essentially just made their s4 attire more slutty. Like. That's really it lmao. I also changed the metal to silver from gold to symbolise the moon. Outfit inspired from this design in my Greek attire post too. His hair is short and super choppy because it just cut it, Allumos is a lot less mentally well in my rewrite, this is one of the results of that. He cuts its hair whenever it enters an episode. I gave Allumos heavy scarring (can be seen in more detail below in a full body shot) since they literally fought a war, though (at least) one of those scars is from friendly fire lol. I gave Allumos a belt of sorts, I didn't draw them cause I still haven't worked out the designs, but it would be used to hold its Celestial Keys — no Minecraft logic here. Lacrima marking/scar!!! Inspired by a black hole. Gave them very pointy ears too, because is it even a human anymore?
I honestly didn't change much about Allumos's (early) s5 design — I like it, it's simple but conveys what it needs to. Patrick is a lot tanner (or, well, he's a regular skin tone Allumos is just albino lol) than Allumos. Patrick also got kinda pointy ears from Allumos's possession. The Lacrima marking/scar carried over onto Patrick's body too. I gave Allumos's cloak a blue stripe to allude to his himation that it wore during political events (also from my Greek attire post). Changed the ribbon to purple because it still has that "purple = respectable" mindset lol.
I had so much fun drawing the doll joints here lol (it was torture, but ultimately I'm proud of it). After Salode, Allumos was gifted a replica of its original body by the Celestial Spirit King. This was only after Allumos practically begged on his knees to bring them all home however, even willing to actually die for it. God, they hate each other. Anyways, the new body is pretty 'fleshy' feeling, but there is a slight difference to the feel of it. Allumos also can't really feel cold or heat anymore, only if it's extreme temperatures. It has a lot of complex joints so it can actually still move but he now struggles with semi-frequent dislocation. They also feel cold to the touch. Aside from the body, I gave it a different outfit (yes, Patrick finally got to wear his own clothes too), the trousers became a sash thing, with white trousers for a bit of colour balance. He's wearing a purple, blue and yellow chlamys, a piece of home, so to speak. You can't see it behind their hair but it's held with a sun clasp.

Gosh this was a HEADACHE to draw lol. I wanted to be absolutely happy with the redesign, which meant making sure it would hold up in several months time (not easy for an indecisive perfectionist!). I specifically learnt how to draw leg muscles properly for this drawing — and it's not even visible half the time!! Though I will say it was a litttleee easier because I've already had a lot of the ideas for his redesign for several months, so all I had to do was translate it properly into my art. I might make a Patrick design after this for consistency, BUT also looking at the other redesigns I've done it may be best for me to stick with guild leaders (+ second-in-commands). Idk I've already started working on Flurry so I'll probably stick with the latter. Anyways hope you lot like this design WOOHOOO I can draw sometimes

Mario Dragonson, the S Class (as of the end of S5) Cavern Dragon Slayer of Divinus Magia.
Haven’t changed much in his design but there’s some minor differences.
There’s also a base skin design that I cropped out because I’m not sure if tumblr will nuke me for it, so it’s below the cut along with close ups, yapping about designs and also a little bit about his backstory in my rewrite!
His normal outfit is not much different to his canon s5 look. I gave him metal toed boots because of the practical reasons of him not dropping boulders on his feet, and also because he’d like the option to be able to kick the shit out of people. His shirt has a lower cut because everyone in Divinus has to show a little bit of titty. He wears fingerless gloves because I gave him claws which would just rip the gloves, but also I think parts of his magic should require him to be physically touching the ground, so this allows him to just drop and dig his fingers in. His coat is fireproof (he got it after s4 because of training with Kit and Bryan).
His relaxed outfit is the same as his normal one, just without the jacket or gloves to give him a little more comfort. He’d probably dress like this when on the island between contracts, if the weather’s good or he’s over at someone’s house. He doesn’t own many other clothes than these and he definitely only owns the boots as shoes, so they get dirty quickly. Contrary to what the guild says, he does wash regularly, he just doesn’t wash his clothes.
I chose to have him keep his hair longer because he had a pretty big crashout before he left his old guild and hacked all his hair off during it, so he grows it to distance himself from those days. He lets Kit occasionally trim the fringe. It’s not seen but he’s very tall, around 6’5 ish, but he’s never measured himself properly. On his base, I concentrated scars on his forearms and upper body, because he’s a very static fighter who tanks attacks rather than attempting to dodge them. Before learning more defensive magic styles like his Dragon Scale Armour, he used his forearms to block blades a lot. I attempted to give him a sort of weightlifter build with muscle and fat rather than toned muscle, again with a focus on the muscle in his upper body because he fights with his fists. I didn’t draw it here, but I got rid of his lance thingy, and instead he fights with knuckledusters, because it makes so much more sense to me for him to punch as his melee attack because of how much he punches rocks for his magic.
The big scar down the centre of his chest is due to his old guild leader doing some pretty evil shit to him. There is permanent bruising around it and he suffers from chronic pain.
Backstory of the scar! (brief mention of body modification)
After being taken off the streets and joining Reaper’s Hand (my preferred name for his old dark guild) at about age 13, Mario was raised like a son by the guild leader. The guild leader was a Death magic user who called himself ‘the Priest’, and had a fascination with artificial life through necromancy.
The Priest used Mario as an experiment. To see if he could create permanent artificial life, he removed Mario’s heart from his chest and replaced it with a pig’s heart with necrotic runes carved into it. The pig’s heart functioned as a normal human heart but was only kept beating by the Priest’s magic feeding into it. Mario became technically dead, but still living, and a success in the Priest’s experiment. However, soon after, he was captured by Bri and sent to Atlantide prison, and joined Divinus before the Priest could reclaim him.
Mario doesn’t know if the heart will stop beating if his old guild leader dies, so he has an obsession with trying to find him and put him in prison so he can find a permanent way of keeping it alive. The Priest is also obsessed with Mario, because he is, by all criteria, supposed to be dead, and yet he can use magic (which dead people cannot do) and has also grown and aged. It means immortality could be possible to achieve.
Anyway I think he should be a little weird about the fact that he has the heart of a livestock animal. Pigs are animals bred for slaughter and I think he should wonder if that’s what he’s been created for too.
(using a pigs heart as a replacement for a human heart is actually a real, fairly recent thing that has been attempted! it’s called xenotransplantation and I believe there are a few successful cases of it working (not just with hearts, but with other pig organs too))
Bro ngl Most of Mario's characters in the origins series HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL but the outcome is so ahhh, like for instance:
FTO Mario was manipulated into joining a dark guild at a young age but that was never explored.
SNO Mario S1-2, was wasted as a character. He's the literal leader of a werewolf pack?? How did he become an Alpha— He HAS NO BACKSTORY😭 HE BARELY HAS LORE BESIDE THAT HIS FATHER GAVE HIM THAT STUPID HAT.
SNO Mario S3, in my opinion has the second most interesting lore. He's a hunter who doesn't kill, that's intriguing. And furthermore than that he's a descendant of SNO S2 Mario. But that was never given a chance to be brought up again CAUSE.
MHO MARIO DON'T GET ME STARTEDDDDD.. His dad being a fallen Hero?? His quirk being actual Nuclear Energy???? Hello? Thats SO COOL. But alas...

Tenchi?? Is that his name? God, uhh brother went missing apparently. But it was kinda implied that his had/was going to have the strongest defense in the series.
Fallout Origins Mario. Ohhhh boy... Had the worst representation of DID in the world💔 Watched the series once never again.
The only times I actually think the Character got explored on:
Origins Z Mario, not my favourite but was the first and tge only series that didn't make me cringe in the first episode. I liked how in the final episodes his humanity was being challenged after the kid he had tried to help became a serial killer with the weapons he got HIM.
OoO Mario was... Fine actually aside from many Cringy moments I enjoyed watching him the most.

Honestly SNO Mario both S2 and S3 are so interesting to me.
Like what happened to S2 Mario after he went crazy/out of control and ran into the forest? How did his bloodline still continue? Did he get over it or something???
And S3 Mario him feeling like he was getting watched? And getting dreams about the moon goddess? How it was implied that he was actually a warewolf too??
