Please choose your committee, please help us evenly distribute.
Because folks were pretty open, we set up a Doodle to let student members choose their committee. First-come, first-served; please help us evenly distribute. The committees are: Outreach Committee | Is responsible for growing our list of artists from the community who wish to attend Know Your Rights events and apply for legal assistance from our clinics. Hand out flyers, social media, share with your networks, full-blown grassroots efforts–all ideas are welcome to get the word out. Stomp Out Committee | Will organize (location, participants, and resources) Stomp Outs to various local arts events. Participants will hand out flyers to artists and, with the aid of our Volunteer Handbook, answer simple questions as they come up. Wearing our snazzy t-shirts of course! Know Your Rights Committee | Will coordinate attorney speakers and artist attendees at informal legal rights presentations. Know Your Rights events can be topic focused or general discussions about major legal issues facing artists. This is a great opportunity to network with local attorneys, but don't forget, we need artists to attend so we can make a great impression on the legal community.
Go to the Doodle to make your selection. Once this doodle is complete, we will delegate tasks to each committee to get the ball rolling on outreach and events.
