THE RISING CHAIR by Robert van Embricqs
The Rising Chair emphasize the natural shape an object can made by transforming itself. Every piece of the chair has his own task to succeed in this transformation. It’s very easy to gather a huge collection of different chairs, throughout the years there has been a staggering abundance of them, in all shapes and sizes. But what fascinated me during my research was a simple question: to what degree is the object you're creating capable of dictating its own design? Is it even possible for an object to 'tell' for which form its best suited? And if so, what will the end result be?
RISING LIGHT FIXTURE by Robert van Embricqs
“Rising rays of light…”
To determine the look of the Rising Light Fixture, the core of the Rising principle has been revisited. A design dictates its own form simply by making cuts in a flat surface and allowing it to “rise up”. In the case of the Rising Light Fixture, two flat surfaces meet to create a latticework that is sure to catch the eyes, because it gives off the optical illusion of constant, subtle movement.
INTERIOR LIGHT SOLUTION by Robert van Embricqs
For the flexibility of the interior space, the construction can be unfolded during the day for the regulation of natural light. During the night the construction is lightened up by the beams that are provided with light strips that delivers a light spectacle.
