This is me, age 9 (2009) versus 21 (2021). My mom took me to purchase my very first guitar, one that holds a special place in my heart. I wanted to be just like Taylor from a young age and since then, I’ve been aspired to live my life in a way that honors the cherished values and elements instilled in her music.

Many of my life events correlate to specific lyrics, especially this memory with my guitar. On the way home, I asked my mom to play “The Best Day” which is a track that is near and dear to my heart.

Growing up, I was subjected to criticism and unkind words from peers at school, which caused me to suffer with poor self-esteem and personal struggles that would become embedded into my brain. Her music always stayed with me, through all endeavors: good and bad. It has served as a catharsis for me and has enabled me to embody the most authentic and purest version of myself.

I am learning to step into my own light and manifest my own greatness.

This summer, I was supposed to attend Lover Fest with my mom and of course due to the nature of the circumstances it isn’t happening this year. However, after a long period of stagnancy and uncertainty, it will be the most beautiful experience ever...something so worth it.
