We're officially licensed for Let's Read Homestuck!
Heya! We got an ask about this due to some recent ongoings, and wanted to reassure anybody who is concerned:
Several months ago, we were contacted by FRAF (Fruity Rumpus Asshole Factory, a licensed fanwork collective) and asked if we wanted to be licensed for Let's Read Homestuck, and we said yes! That means, as of a few months ago, we have a license to post our dub, and are no longer existing in the nebulous copyright murkiness of potentiality for the series getting taken down at any time (which, to be clear, would be absolutely within Andrew Hussie's and FRS's purview if they wanted to, it being their IP.)
(More under the cut.)

discord's new terms of service DO have a mandatory arbitration clause for the United States and Canada, you have 30 days to opt out by emailing an opt out notice to [email protected]. this has been your standard "for the love of god do not waive your right to a jury trial under any circumstances" notice
How To Do This
I recommend sending your emails via the same account you used to sign up for Discord. This only applies to Discord users within the US and Canada.
When to do it: As soon as possible. You have 30 days from clicking the "Agree" button on a new TOS notification (or from signing up for Discord for the first time) to opt-out of this part of the agreement. I received my new TOS agreement right on the 29th of September, so I'd have until the 29th of October to opt-out.
Where to send: [email protected] (as above)
What to say: You really don't want to give a company any room to weasel out of doing what you've asked them just because you worded things in an unclear or indirect way. Use contract jargon where ever and whenever possible when tangling with a company's internal bullshit or else they will find a way to hand wave correspondence that you've sent them as "unprofessional" or "not adequately clear"
Here is a draft of the email I have sent ⬇
---
Subject: Opt-Out of Arbitration Clause
Body:
To Whom It May Concern:
I (username: [YOUR DISCORD USERNAME]) am writing to you today, [DATE], to opt-out of the Arbitration Clause in my agreement with Discord (Terms of Service Update: September 29th, 2025) that requests that I waive my right to a jury trial in the event of a dispute between myself and the company.
Thank you for your time
---
Secure a copy of this email to keep for your records, because Discord will not keep it on their record out of the goodness of their hearts. Star it or put it in a brand new folder that you'll never remove stuff from, or at least take a screenshot of the thing and secure it as a file on your computer, whatever you do, do not risk losing evidence that you asked to opt-out, they will happily misplace or delete or have never received your correspondence if they think they can get away with it.
If you're someone who has engaged in the realm of nsfw commerce, this is especially relevant for you currently. As the legality of merely engaging with nsfw material comes under threat we need to keep our hands on every legal right we've got to oppose the potential crackdowns. Discord is not and has not been your friend. Keep yourselves safe out there.
And on that note, if you're in the US:

Let's Read Mouthwashing - Coming September 26th on Voxus.
Hey there!! Just wanted to shoot y'all a message to let you know how much people still really appreciate what you are doing.
For the last two years, we've run a Homestuck panel at our local furry con. Last year, we kind of expected a weak turnout, but we were very pleasantly surprised to find that, yes, Homestuck is still very relevant. This year was even better due to the attention that the pilot trailer has garnered.
Both years, the Let's Read Homestuck video series has been regarded so incredibly fondly. People share their myriad personal experiences with how the Let's Read made Homestuck accessible to them, especially people who struggle with things like dyslexia or aphantasia.
Your project gave people access to a piece of work that deeply impacted their lives for the better. People connected with others, though Homestuck. People saw themselves reflected for the first time in Homestuck. That wouldn't have been possible without this project. That's not even to mention how well done it is. The incredible amount of effort really does pay off and has resulted in some iconic versions of these characters.
Thank you all so much for what you do, and please don't stop!! We will see you through to the end!!
AW WHAT
Thank you so much for this sweet comment 🥺
Upd8...?
That's right. Homestuck, the animated pilot, brought to you by the incredible folks at Spindleroo and featuring the talents of the cast and crew below.
Stay tuned for more!
Congrats to the Homestuck team on their announcement! We hope they have a smooth production and wish them the best of luck. 🔥
