a hard ask but list some reasons why you like limb enhancer peridot specifically !

it may be a hard ask, but it's also thought provoking!! this might turn into a whole ramble so i apologize in advance if it does end up being a huge ramble of disorganized thoughts about peridot.
ok so for a lil timeline context, i had started watching steven universe around april 2015, so at that point jailbreak was already out. i personally didn't fall in love with her until july of 2015, right around the time friend ship came out. i was fully obsessed with her until something at the very end of 2016 changed my life in a not so good way. my obsession with limb enhanced peridot had been dormant for years and is only starting to come back now because she kept popping up in my head again (somehow i knew i'd never truly get over her, so i wasn't too surprised i'd get into her again) and i decided to feed my nostalgia and search stuff about her up.
i like limb enhancer peridot specifically because she was at first seen as a threat and was moreso mysterious in her first few encounters but after more episodes came out, i saw she had a funny and goofy side to her despite being extremely smart. she is also really hot in my opinion so i quickly fell for her once i realized i had feelings for her.
also i always thought her limb enhancers were a really cool part of her design, so when those were taken away from her, i felt like it was a huge loss and for the longest time i was waiting for them to come back in a future episode but that never happened.
i also felt like after peridot lost her limb enhancers, her character slowly started to downgrade, and it got worse once she was finished being redeemed. it hurt to see someone so smart and useful with tech with a small goofy side be tossed aside to turn into comic relief. plus her becoming short always threw me off, because yeah i still loved peridot after that, but i always missed her limb enhancers, since they were a huge part of her. i loved the floating digits, i loved that she could make screens out of them, i loved that she could use them as a fucking HELICOPTER and she could also fire cannons. she could turn her floating digits into arrows like she did in catch and release pointing at the warp pad before her limb enhancers were sadly taken from her.
like, she was a mysterious, hot, seemingly evil woman, and i loved that so much about her. and then seeing a slightly goofy side like how she was in friend ship only furthered me falling for her. limb enhanced peridot was simply the peridot i fell in love with, the version of her i fell in love with, so that is why i like her specifically.
(also i love how they drew her in catch and release before they took the limb enhancers away… she's so pretty in that part of the episode even though she's panicking.)

there was an old video on youtube about peridot that used the song "ghosts n stuff" by deadmau5 so that is a song i associate with her, "something better" by lady antebellum and audien was a lapidot song in my head (before they started interracting more on the show, i shipped lapidot back when peridot and lapis weren't super fleshed out yet. i don't ship lapidot much anymore after seeing what their relationship ended up being like later in the show, because it was way different from the dynamic i had for them in my head.). i'll be honest though, most of the other songs i associate with her aren't really what people would expect at all since i'd think about her when i listened to love songs, like the acoustic version of "adore" by jasmine thompson, for example. so not related to her character at all, but related to me being in love with her. i was yumeshipping even back then. there was also this mashup of "into you" by ariana grande and "diamonds" by rihanna that i'd imagine me being in lovey dovey scenarios with peridot when i listened to it back in 2016.
i used to have a lot more songs i associated with her in 2015/2016 but unfortunately the vast majority of that has been lost to time since i switched audio streaming websites years ago, unless i come across said songs again and recognize them somehow. i'd be interested in seeing your character playlist though, i'm always looking for more songs to make scenarios in my head about peridot lmao.
i also wrote and sang a few songs about peridot when i was younger, which are catchy af in my opinion and i still sing them to this day because they're that memorable but if i ever released them i'd forsure want to remaster them since those were recorded almost a decade ago.
