The Sabbatic Goat, a riddle whispered through the cosmos, is neither bound by life nor death, light nor shadow, but exists in the fragile balance between them. Forged in the heart of a solar eclipse by Baphomet’s ambition, Asphomet is a child of paradox, a being born from celestial radiance, infernal corruption, primal chaos, and mortal fragility. They walk as a hymn to contradictions, a shifting figure of angelic beauty and monstrous wrath, their form ever-changing like the tide. Male and female, beast and divine, their essence defies the simplicity of form, a fluid mosaic of cosmic truths and terrible enigmas. Reality bends in their wake—labyrinths rise, and both the faithful and the damned are drawn to them like moths to a flame. To mortals, they are the Sabbatic Goat, a godlike figure whose cryptic words and riddles illuminate and unravel in equal measure. To celestials, they are a chance at redemption for the Abyss. To fiends, they are a weapon to wield—or destroy.
❝Asphomet is neither one nor the other, but all things: mortal and immortal, sacred and profane.❞
𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄: Asphomet is inspired by the symbolism of Baphomet from "our world," drawing on themes of duality, balance, and more. In my D&D setting, he is destined to overtake his father, consume his essence, and claim the title of Baphomet. However, I focus on his "early years"—he’s only 166 years old, which is young by immortal standards. While I take inspiration from D&D lore, I’ve made changes to fit my own worldbuilding. D&D is designed to be flexible, allowing for creative freedom, so my OC doesn’t strictly follow canon but rather serves as an interpretation that suits my setting and narrative.
