if you really are friends with melmon again you owe her a public apology
I've wanted to address this sooner but we were worried about it starting drama since that's not what either of us want right now😅
I reached out to Mel to apologize for everything a month or so ago and we're becoming/are friends again ^^
I was completely wrong and misinformed about the situation so I ended up accusing her of things completely inappropriate for the things that did have merit. I feel so horrible for playing a part in putting her (and many others that participated on either side) though that. Mel forgives me and I'm grateful but don't really think deserve it, even if I have changed/apologized yknow?
I've had a lot of time to go over things, cut ties with people, and generally become a better and more mentally sound person over these past 2 or so years and I can now confidently acknowledge how badly I fucked up and how horrible the things I was accusing her of were. I didn't intend to rekindle things with her upon sending my apologies her way since I knew at that point what I'd done was pretty unforgivable and never expected any sort of grace about it apologies or not but we've been working things out in private as I said.
To be completely transparent, here's my stance on the worst accusations:
I do NOT believe Mel groomed Khai in any form, she was at the least inappropriate around her considering Khai's age at the time but it wasn't predatory, just an extreme lack of boundaries and things being played up to me for dramas sake </3
What Mel did regarding Clover and I was not SA, It was morally fucked and a smear on her character in general but not Assault.
(If I'm honest not that It makes it any better but, I had a lot of people telling me that it was SA and validating/feeding into my bad takes at the time so I was honestly caught up in it all and went in too deep to pull back.)
As for the rest of the more nitpicky takes I had and what could generally be considered just hateful, I cannot speak for those since there's so many but I will say that many criticisms I had back then still hold up now, she's just changed and rectified those which I can remember for the most part.
To speak for myself though, I've (in my opinion) become a much better of a person now compared to then and am hopeful for how things will go this time around now that we're both out of the trenches per-say
~ I have the mental health care I need, good friends that will tell me if I'm actin wrong, and in terms of physical environment (since that was a big mental health factor) am in a much safer place now.
I guess rather than an apology I can promise her, and everyone that was around for that garbage-fire something like that will never happen again. I was stupid to make a public matter of it to begin with, it invaded peoples privacy, sparked a million videos from drama hungry people with nothing to say feeding the fire, ended others friendships, and generally was a horrible experience for everyone so I'm sorry for all of that. I'll continue to try and be the best version of myself and again, something like that will never happen again.
