Now that Volo's Pokemas voice actors have finally been announced I can't help but compare them to my own headcanon for Volo's voice (and also what I consider to be ACD Volo's voice if you read my fanfic :p).

I think there should be more of a soft/sly connotation to his voice. Something more fox-like if that makes any sense. I feel like the song I linked above captures it as well as any other example I can point to. Both the English and Japanese voices they chose just don't really reach that in the way I had hoped for.

What do you guys think of his voice actors so far? Do you have any voices you prefer for Volo? Feel free to comment below and share them, I'd love to see!

I think both of his voice actors work fine

I only like his English voice

I only like his Japanese voice

My friend @volodei once described Volo to me as "babygirl" and being fandom illiterate as I am this is what I assumed was meant. The actual definition was later clarified to me but I stand by this. This art is dedicated to Volodei because she really liked my take and is putting out this type of pretty Volo propaganda anyway. Hope this helps the cause!
