Voltages - Episode 2 is out now! read it today, perhaps!

Welcome back! The last time you heard from me was too many months ago, and in that time, the tide has changed! Converting from a game to a webcomic-like format has been a tough decision, but the benefits outweigh the downsides! Over the next few days, you’ll see information regarding the similar-yet-new direction on our tumblr.
Voltages will return to the public eye on Webtoon Canvas in January 2020 (about 80 years before the story begins!)

Something for all of you curious about where I’ve been! Introducing the hottest new sapienkind creation, a true virtual band, and adored by many the world over, Supercede! Your new favorite generic looking adolescent targeted boyband will play an important part in your battles, specifically with Claudetta, but how? Well...you’ll find out, maybe when the next issue of Cypress releases.
Today’s update includes a rough animation that fits better in context and thats pretty much it as school is draining all my free time!
With a new year comes new content and new stories! We at the Voltages team (..just me actually but team sounds cooler) would like to wish you a happy new year! We’re also showing off a revamp of a room of the game(which just so happens to be a desolated new years party) and a battle screen in progress, with placeholder art galore, as well as a look at new promo art in progress! Again, happy new year and we hope you all have a safe and fun night, and thank you for your continued support!
New Year’s Eve is approaching quickly, and so cometh forth a view of how far Voltages has come from its first steps. From Tabitha’s original pixelly faceset to a polished new bust, I can continue in this style comfortably and make actual progress on assets for everyone!
Some various things in progress, including remakes of older assets, sketches in an attempt to find a fitting artistic style for busts and such, and a neat new keyboard input system for conflicts! No longer are you limited to that giant rpgmaker window!
Responsibilities were getting in the way of progress, but weekly updates will continue! Here’s a look at an in progress corner of an old map that didn't quite look right.
I’m currently working on redoing some old rooms and updating the character sizes to not look awkward, so heres a screenshot to compensate for the lack of cool stuff.

Day seven! Tabitha’s birthday! No update you might think?
Well..
I’ve had quite the jam-packed day, so I couldn't put it up today for a wide audience, but check back for the full 20 second teaser clip tomorrow in the am. ;)
It’s Day 6 and tomorrow is the big day! Today’s update is really short, later will make up for it. Here’s a really bad screenshot of the battle setup as of today
As you can see, there’s alot work to do... not to mention the lack of backdrop and enemy graphic, but this is a simple base to start with. In the final version, these are what i’ll be adding and doing:
Timed button attacks in the vein of the Mario and Luigi RPG/Paper Mario series
For characters that use weapons (i.e Triggs and Taryn), aiming crosshairs at a moving opponent is an alternative, done by animations and possibly changing the cursor to use?
For special attacks such as Alan’s special attacks and Claudetta’s special attacks, there will be a unique qte-esque system still in the works
The layout will change to something not as rpg maker-esque yet still easy to use and read.
Paying attention to the complexity to avoid a really time-consuming sequence and keeping it fast paced.
