Sumire/ Kasumi Yoshizawa: Daughter of Cinderella (Creative I know)
Sumire was always jealous of her sisters destiny. While Kasumi got to live her life out as a princess, while Sumire was left to die with the rest of her family. This jealousy eventually evolved into resentment, so when Kasumi somehow died in a freak accident, Sumire took her bow and said that she, Sumire, was that one who died instead.
Sumire suffers from immense guilt and fear that she’ll be caught. Luckily the Fairy GodFather, Maruki (the only one who knows about the switch) told her mind would be cleansed and she’d truly turn into Kasumi once she signed.
All she has to do it make it to Legacy Day and sign the book infront of everyone
Goro Akechi Shido: Son of the Beast
(The beast gets painted because I love drawing monsters)
Okay first I just wanna explain how I think the prince systems work: Princes aren’t born with the same destiny as their parents (because that would cause a lot of incest) and just have the role “Prince Charming” from there they just have to save whichever princess they were assigned to by destiny. This is usually figured out during their time in Ever After High, seeing which girl they click with the most and signing as their Prince.
Goro is Shido illegitimate child (big shock). Shido had him while he was still cursed, passing the curse onto him. Everytime Goro got the slightest bit emotional, he would turn into a beast (and since he was a child it happened a lot.) Both his mother and his reputation suffers from this. Everyone assumed Goro must’ve done something to deserve this curse since the King would never defy destiny.
Eventually Goro’s mother died and he was sent to a boys home, where he learned how to control his emotions, only becoming the Beast once a week or so, but since he’s suppressing his emotions so much whenever he does turn into the beast he’s completely consumed by his emotions.
Once Shido needs to get someone to take on his legacy, Goro is the only child he can trace (because of the curse), so he’s enrolled in Ever After High. Goro is ecstatic about this. Once he signs the book, Shido would need to acknowledge he’s his son in-front of the whole kingdom, and then he can reveal Shido’s true nature!
All he needs to do to get his revenge is to sign the book infront of everyone.
Ren Amamiya: Son of the Dark Fairy
Ren also always felt out of place, sure he was always invited to thing but that was because people were scared they invoke his “wrath”. Making him wonder if any of his “friends” were “friends” at all.
Once he enters Ever After High, rumors about him spread like crazy because of his destiny and magic. Since he is a Dark Fairy, Ren is only able to use his magic for selfish purposes, which sucks since Ren is a naturally people pleaser.
Morgana claims to be a formidable dragon that was cursed into the form of a cat by a young Ren, and because of this Ren has to serve him for the rest of time. (There is no evidence of this, Ren just likes having Mona around)
After doing some self reflection, Ren realizes that he really doesn’t want spend 100 years guarding a tower with some girl he doesn’t care about sleeping inside. So he decides go against his destiny and not sign the book. Even after doing investigations, he can’t find evidence of anyone who doesn’t find the book surviving, but he doesn’t find evidence of them dying either so it’s a risk he’s willing to take.
All he has to do is denounce Legacy for was it is and reject the book in-front of everyone.
(Also because of the order being alphabetical , Ren goes before Goro, and cancels Legacy day before he can sign it. Goro is so pissed about this, especially since he would’ve gone before if he was allowed to go by his mother’s name.)
As for a basic plot idea for before legacy day, I imagine a kinda mystery thing, where there a beast who shows up at night and destroys the school and injures students, and Goro is tasked to slay it (spoiler alert: he’s the beast)
And Ren, wanting to prove himself for once, tries to slay the beast himself, ‘Kasumi’ finds him, and tries to help. Then they both find out the beast is Goro. Ren keeps it a secret because this is the funniest thing in his life, and Sumire keeps it a secrets because she relates.

Replaying P5R instead of idk starting a game in my backlog or something. Anyway I forgot how much I loved Shiho for the tiny amount of screen time she gets. This following statement is obvious in terms of story but in terms of screen time and gameplay Shiho deserved better :[
If they ever make an Uprising sequel I hope they bring the original cast back. I'm ok with Palutena's Smash bros voice but Viridi's recasted voice in Ultimate is way too shrill. That's nothing against either voice actor, by the way, I'm a firm "this is a voice direction problem" believer when it comes to casting but MAN Hynden Walch as Viridi I miss you
