Im so tired of pretending otherwise, realistically there is NO way that the Cullens (and their witnesses or whatever) would have won against the Volturi.

First of all, CHELSEA. “Oh but Bella’s gift” yeah, but isn’t Bella actively busy kicking ass for the majority of the battle, like surely there was at least one moment where Chelsea could have slipped in there. I hardly imagine she was doing much fighting since Aro liked to keep her close and safe considering her talent was extremely important. So wouldn’t she have just been off to the side trying to break the bonds? It would have been so easy to get the majority of the gifted vamps on multiple occasions. I could go on for ages about that specific point, I might make a separate post.

Number 2, ALEC. I get Jane can only get one person at a time (I’m pretty sure???) but Alec is a fucking powerhouse and can get multiple people. “Oh but Bella-“ same as Chelsea, it would have been easy on so many occasions for Alec to use his ability to his advantage. Alec didn’t even use his power once in the BDP2 fighting scene if I remember correctly. Again, I could go on forever about this one.

Then there’s Heidi, whom I feel is extremely overlooked in this scenario. (Perhaps she wasn’t even there, I think it’s funny to think that she was off on one of her ‘fishing trips’ so that the Volturi would have a ‘meal’ to come home to lmao) I don’t think she’s as significant in this scenario as Alec and Chelsea, but wouldn’t an opponent get distracted?

Honestly same goes for Renata, also. It’s in the guide that she can literally make her opponent forget what they’re doing.

I do think that Kate, Benjamin and Zafrina would be able to hold their own against them. (Assuming Chelsea hasn’t gotten to them first) but we also must consider the fact that there are at least a dozen other vampires in the Volturi that we know nothing about.

the concept that renesmee got more screen time than chelsea is so sad☹️ like chelsea is so important she’s essentially keeping the vampire world together because realistically without the volturi the vampire world would go to shit and obviously as we know its chelsea whos basically keeping the volturi together along w corin i guess but u get the point.

I just think its sad that she only got this 1 second of screen time throughout the whole movies shes such an important character and A MILLION times better than renesmee but got basically no screen time. genuinely disappointing icl she would definitely be an interesting character if stephenie did more w her character like even the fact chelsea just casually changes her name from time to time like hello? and she got afton whos gift is really not that good to be let in the volturi, like i just know she would be a badass.

Chelsea deserves more recognition shes such an important character, in my opinion the most important one but shes barely mentioned like stephenie we want more chelsea!

I do hope if another book is written she’s mentioned a bit more.

We should have gotten a volturi book, like imagine how cool it would be. i also wish we got to see some of the guard in the movies like chelsea, renata, corin, afton ect and the wives icl i also kinda wished we got like a flash back on didyme in the movies i feel that would have been cool. anyway rant over<3
