THE CAR THAT TOOK ME THERE AND BACK THEN WAS DUMPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD MY A MIND-CRAZED LUNATIC WHO I MISTAKENLY CALLED MY FRIEND
Fond Growth Pattern Fondness
The absence:
Sunshine -tan brewery,
Walking with the walking stick,
Renewing self in self.
Macedonian church:
In God we trust,
In Christ we rust.
Edging on fours to the
African face bonding out.
Popping eyes, tossed bad fried chicken.
Tall, like a coca cola billboard, abandoned.
Bussing ourselves through the fields of deer no longer here,
Marking this spot, the super- uber wealth decree
Have escaped stealthily, stealthily.
Onwards.
Torn down shop, brick by brick,
Clipped at the joints like chicken,
dunked in the spiced vat of churches.
The jewelry thieves transfer merchandise
ever ever ever forward.
I’m on ice: so are you,
You with your squizzly wizzly,
You with your shining plastic Jesus,
You with your library card mock filters-
Gefilte fish saves a dollar
While the old woman walks across the street,
Packed up head in the pistachio helmet hat.
The cars reedy trampoline effects.
Yes, the cars.
Supermarket zone.
Great , great, greater.
Fishing your eyes out of the soup:
Examine yourself!
You with your seafood selectronics:
Repair that!
I mar the filters of your Spanish cortisone shots.
Gums and teeth
AYYYYY is for AYYYYY!
Alphabet coup de’ gras,
Looting in the sad swordfish streets:
Bane of my brain-
I wanna take my mind out for a dance,
But I’m no longer mobile.
Follow me:
Now I can move:
I’ve got the three wise men on my hip.
Yes, raving.
Saving the best for last,
And the test:
How can we ever make our way through
This manacle of madness?
Oh, YAY!
Oh, here it comes:
Beatlemania has beaten the dust
30
30 odd six
30 weight oil, and the bird is the word.
I’m boiling my brief announcement.
Westerly go I!
Yes, in jest I mow my eyebrows down to a sharp pinnacle
Then I can spin a few into silver threads
Golden viking locks and ornaments.
30 30 30
Division of a tripod lens out of kilter,
A tri-oc out of locus.
Scarborough faerie dust:
YAY!
It’s the first scientist named Jesus
In the test tube tourmaline mineral wealth bath oil
Satchmo tagalog kit.
Phillipine twisters, my fingers bearing blisters
On the roof below the abbey-
A spoof upon that dagnabbit band we heard so much of
In the past millennium.
Plenty of that comin’ your way, Hasbro handsome soldier guy.
Yes - laser tag with a radar fag
Will do it for you,
Will do you up:
Up, up, and away.
You weigh your options and
opt out of this chantilly -laced masochismo.
All the gizmos on Earth can’t save you now.
You’ll be howling at the moon before you snarl with your prowl,
Darling.
Oh, I’d like to get into my own little growth area.
I found it finally.
I foundered, followed me.
It’s a good way to go.
Yes it is, yes it is.
A good way to go

a NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION OF WHAT U NEED TO KNOW
A song that in so many words says something inessential but at the same time timely
This a perfect blend of three individuals who are individually far more then the sum of their holes
The kind of song you would introduce your mother to
Big jump to the night ride:How I miss you both. Wasn’t for the want of love, Only for the want of home. Catch you on the season’s spin, Wattage of the bulb grown bright: Eminence within you. All of...
Kicked in the teeth!
I got this invite in the mail. I asked how long it would take to make my teeth look like that. I would pay for the lipstick and the rose. He said, 'well you have to pay off your balance first'. Would not accept payment arrangement. I said, that will be by about summer. I have cracked teeth and gaps.. He said, I've seen worse. Well, I took that as a positive statement. So I started exploring the uses of my cracked teeth. The razor like edges are great forsteak, then it all gets stored in the gaps. Kind of like combining the advantages of the mouths of a shark and a squirrel. So now I embark on another journey to another dentist who claims to be affordable. A great word, affordable. Almost deserves a prepositional phrase, like 'by you'. I know the wars are affordable, though the interest rates are way high. Then give me the war plan for my teeth: Bite now, pay later!

Ed's Well Read's 15 minute book review: Roland Barthes' Mythologies: Wrestling. In reading this essay I had to consider first which wrestling he was talking about. He was talking about our wrestling, the wrestling of exaggerated, clownish moves, bodily caricature, trumped up injuries. In the book of Barthes these are all virtues that share in the the qualities of farce familiar to the audiences of Moliere and Aristophanes. He describes the antics of the contestants as ' light without shadows'. I have always detested the mass adulation of wrestling, especially that of little children who cannot yet differentiate between real and feigned violence, real and feigned pain. According to Barthes, this distinction is immaterial, since the purpose is to produce these things as 'signs' rather than empirical truth. But did he realize at the time ( 1970) that virtual violence would become such an enormous part of the culture? I remember, about 10 years later, when I was already grown out of my own momentary obsession with the likes of Bruno San Martino and Man-Mountain Morgan, watching Cyndi Lauper championing the WWF horde. Could she be wrong?, I asked myself, Myself replied, yes, she must be...even Cyndi can be wrong. Now, 30 some odd ( some really odd) years down the road, I look at this again through the prism of Barthes' analysis. It is time to revisit the body slam.....
