I don't understand why "Adrian doesn't like Grace at first" is as popular as it is on fanfics.

Imagine for a second you are Adrian surname The Eridian. Your spouse has been missing and presumed dead for around a decade, and suddenly one day an alien spaceship comes into orbit. And you cheer "Yay alien species have realized we have the same problem and have come to either give us a solution or join or efforts, too bad my mate is still gone."

Except he is not actually gone, because the eridian equivalent of a carebear decided to save them. And he doesn't want anything in return, in fact he is well aware that he might die A PAINFUL SLOW DEATH, shortly after fighting just to get the love of your life back to you. But it's ok :) because Rocky (yes he gave them a silly name) is my best friend! Oh- Are you ok-

Swiss: *in Mountain’s bed, stretching thoroughly* Morning. How’d ya sleep last night? Mountain: *knocking Swiss out of the bed* WHAT THE HELL?! Swiss: Ow! Mountain: What were you doing in my bed? You were supposed to sleep on the air mattress on the floor! Swiss: I had a nightmare. Mountain You had a nightmare? What are you, five? Swiss: Listen, I needed to feel comfortable, and I was getting this perverse power dynamic vibe from me sleeping on the floor and you sleeping up there.... Mountain: *imitating a royal accent* Why yes, how high and mighty I am up here on my twin XL! Swiss: That is not what I meant.... Mountain: Silence in the presence of your king! Who sleeps in a lofty twelve and a half inches above the ground! Swiss: Listen, I’m not ashamed. I slept comfortably when I got up on your bed, and I’m sure you did too. Mountain: Yeah. Sure. Okay Swiss: You know what? I wanna know. How’d you sleep last night? Mountain: *getting a little flustered* That was the best I’ve slept in a while. Swiss: *gasping exaggeratedly* The king slept comfortably with a peasant in his bed! Mountain: I still did not consent to this and.... Swiss: *clutching his chest dramatically* But my liege, our love is forbidden! Mountain: *on the phone*: Hi, is this the front desk? Yeah, there’s a bed bug in my room, he’s six-foot-one and has got black curly hair. Swiss: Ask them if they have one of those “Do Not Disturb” signs. I’ll put it on the door next time we…. *smirks* Do it. Mountain: Okay, I'm going to shower and wash all of the.... *gestures vaguely between them* ....off of me.
