Peaches (Joshaya One Shot)
Joshua Andrew Matthews sped on his bicycle from Topanga's to him and Maya's apartment. He recently got married to the lovely blonde a year ago. He was now twenty three, and Maya was twenty.
Josh now worked as a tour guide at the local art gallery. It was perfect, because Maya was a professional artist who dedicated her fine works of art there in exchange for money.
Today, Josh had headed to work, only to remember he had left his keys at home. He had grabbed a to-go breakfast pastry from Topanga's to give to Maya. Now he was on his way back.
Finally reaching his destination, he unstrapped his helmet, and crinkling the fine folds of the paper sack.
"Honey, I'm home!" he called, knocking gently on the door.
The door swung open, revealing a sleepy, and amused looking Maya. "You forgot your keys."
"Oh, really?" Josh mocked surprise. He held out the paper bag. "I bought you breakfast."
Maya took the sack gratefully.
"Thanks, Josh," she mumbled, chewing on the delicious jam pastry. "This is exactly why I married you."
"Wow, Maya," Josh teased, ruffling her messy hair. "I love you, too."
Maya rolled her eyes and grabbed some milk from the fridge.
"See you later, Peaches," Josh called, picking up his keys. He winked.
Maya froze in her tracks. "Did you just call me Peaches?"
Josh smirked, knowing exactly what was about to happen. He approaches the doorway.
"ONLY RILEY CAN CALL ME THAT!" she yelled, chasing after him down the stairs. She finally caught him by launching herself at his back.
"Never. Call. Me. That. Again," she seethed. Josh kissed her.
"This is why I love you," he said playfully.
"Hmph. You win," Maya pouted.
"We'll go see Riley and Lucas when I come home from work," Josh promised, climbing onto his bicycle.
"Bye, honey!" Maya called to the speeding Josh.
Saluting on his helmet, Josh called back, "Bye, Peaches!"
It means you, Riley. I choose you.
