This is a sideblog! /kinda rp? To post my experiances with the current version of Votv's Story Mode :D. Dr.Rex is a ghost (probably way prior than the last doctor who worked at the facility) he has no memories of what happened but he knows he has a job to do, and this curious new doctor seems easier to possess from time to time
Context? I played votv before but I decided to train myself in ambiance mode so that I know all the ropes properly and in that time I kinda imagined Dr.Rex, an OC I made up in that very peaceful stead.
In the story mode I'm finally trying though, I'd say Dr.Rex has been dead and Dr.Kel is being haunted and sometimes posessed by his ghost who has no memories of what happened before his death.
I think this will be fun! :)
UPDATE! : 0.9m came in so I decided to make a new save+ with the mailbox and start from day 1 because no way I'm cleaning with paranormal activity at high but I'm adding time travel fiction to Kel's actions now lol.
Should I put Kel through a timeloop of experiancing the entire story mode again in gameplus+ mailbox?
Yes! >:3
No! <:{

This will turn this tumblr into an ask-oc Tumblr with more Dr.Rex (who doesn't know about a timeloop and is a ghost) and a Dr.Kel (who is now experiencing a timeloop and remembers all of them)
I did not expect this many votes already, I made it a week because I thought that'd be like, I dunno, 3 or 4 votes by like day 5?? Uh I guess I start the loop now ig? To the mailbox and money transfer I go

Alpha Story was pretty fun! I had a time imagining what Rex (OC) would be telling Kel plenty and that's always fun. I think I'll continue playing on this save to get some barings back together but this also mwans Rex's role as a guide is done (at least for now) so he's going to dissapear and have sleepy time. Leaving Kel to his own devices now ^^
Until the next story update of course. Say Goodnight to Rex!
For some reason he has been agitated waking up like he already knew what he needed to do, waking up to get shirmp and medkits just to rush over to our neighbour's house. It was a full on war out there but we made it out alive. I scolded him for trying to help, why would he? All we had are molotovs not even a gun to our name but he seems rather pleased though.
He rewarded the creatures with a bunch of shirmp for defeating those things. I wonder if he knew this was going to happen, I sometimes wonder if he himself is actually some sort of walking anomaly himself. But he seems happy. Pretty happy.
He told me to write my entry so we can hang out? There wasn't much this week other than all these aliens dropping out of the sky but they were defeated, no doubt there's still some stragglers lurking. It's been kinda fun, he's kinda fun.
How funny. I feel tired down to my ghostly bones, I haven't felt that in awhile since I was alive. Maybe I'll take a bit of a nap.
And than I'll follow Kel out into that restrictef area he's been so curious off.
It was calming this time around, enough time to wind down in this slow week. Nothing really happened other than our neighbors bothering us. Just a lot of clean up and a lot of recycling. Though there is a few things.
Apparently something was splattered on our front parking lot, we didn't really realize it with the flickering lights and everything. That is until we went on to the garden to get our harvest, where we found a body part, than we found bits and pieces leading towards the splatter sight. It would have been sickening if it Kel wasn't already somewhat done enough with the paranormal that it doesn't exactly pull that much of a reaction out of him. We did however gather all the body parts into a box, to bury far left of Victor. We aren't even sure if it was human with the amount of lungs it had.
Not to mention the car falling out of the sky, it didn't exactly deter us but it did destroy the alien on wheels our neighbors tried to scare us with to our sadness. Instead Kel took the advantage and took the car apart for scraps. Yeah, that tracks. Yeah, that's my scientist.
Nothing else to really report for now. It's going well overall!

I finally figured out Kel had caught something and got him some heavy meds and the pyramid event was so fun! Though something was off, I know I was supposed to run into the rozital scouts on day 33 but they never really appeared for me even though I went to transformer three late at night to fix it. But I still did get that funny guy cleaning the ATV!
I did experience some Black Fog but it ain't too much to really mention.
Normal we called it, it's more of a question than anything.
This massive pyramid appeared right above us, getting rid of those wisps finally. I don't think we even cared that there was a massive pyramid, though I am very sure Kel was very fascinated with it. We simply cheered for it when we realized it was taking care of all the wisps that has been bothering us for the past couple of weeks.
Yet despite the reprieve, I was rather paranoid of the pulsing humming noises close to us even when Kel feels safe. I kept expecting an orb to appear out of nowhere ready to cause any potential harm. Other than our alien neighbors, Kel having nightmares and potentially a new creature popping up (it attacked our kerfur but he's fine)
I told Kel that maybe this week we could relax instead, clean up the base again and reset some things after living in fear for over a week. Maybe even continue farming again and so we did. We took a couple of days cleaning up base and moving somethings around. We ran out of metal scrap, we should really get some more. I also got him some medicine finally, I think he's no longer sick after getting him some heavy meds.
Although, a pink beam blasted into the earth when we woke up around midnight. I wonder what that was about. We also found this strange creature washing our ATV? Honestly at this point we don't really care, approaching it made it run but I wish we could have thanked it for cleaning up our vehicle.
Here's to trying to get our bearings together. For both our sakes.
It was a particularly harrowing week, still is as I am writing this while Kel is sleeping on the roof.
It started out normally enough, we explored the vents finally finding a note that we assume was from the previous doctor before Kel. We started a corkboard to keep track of what we have so far. Did our routine, our work and fed the aliens that are currently living near Victor. Then this object came from above and crashed into our front yard, the impact shook the earth so hard that it scattered our things across the room. It freaked us out so much that Kel grabbed Clive and Maxwell to hide under the desk for a bit until the alarms stopped.
When we decided to check it out, it gave us this curious red hologram. It was instructions, depicting some sort of spark that we have to stay away from. Following this, Kel decided to sleep on the roof just in case after getting the message. The next thing we knew, Kel woke up in the middle of the night with these very sparks surrounding our base. Hell, it even got inside the base! Kel was right to sleep on the roof.
Despite this, we try our best to do our work during the day while avoiding any sort of sparks that may be roaming around. That being said, we basically started sleeping on top the roof, bringing Maxwell and radio with us to feel more familiar but far from comfortable. Hell, even the sun disappeared while we were trying to do some work and the wisps almost got us.
All this while Kel has grown ill, he kept saying he's fine. I do not think he is. On top of that, something has been stalking us the entire time, showing pictures and streams of us in our own home. It was nerve wrecking. Harrowing week. It's our worst most tiring week yet.
Dr.Bao said he didn't preform well, I call bullshit. We didn't get ONE code. Just one. I don't like him.
I need to figure something out, especially to help with Kel's current illness. He started coughing up blood.
He keeps saying he's okay but he's been getting sick lately. I don't believe him. He's turning pale. I think he'd hate me for posessing him without permission...but I need to find a solution for this, he coughed up some blood yesterday.
Haha, the third week tired. Warning for spoilers I am still playing through the story mode for this game!
Mannequins began to trickle in the start of this week, stalking and following Kel wherever he goes. Of course, the young man was nonchalant about all of this, even going so far to name each and every one of them despite how annoying they can be when we were working. I think throughout the week we have about 10 named mannequins before we went and destroyed the remaining stands in the hopes it hinders their reproduction. (We have Acorn, Banyan, Charlie, Delonix, Elijah, Friday, Garfield, Harold, Irene and Jerry)
It appears we have lost a few of our mannequins though, something happened to Acorn, Charlie and Delonix. Banyan disappeared after getting himself stuck in the console. So currently we only have 6 mannequins with us, which is less taxing than having 10 but we mourn the losses of our wooden children. (I don't know what I'm going on about, Kel's behavior must be rubbing off on me. I'm not sure if it's good or bad I'm that easily influenced by his energy)
A lot happened in the span of three days though, maybe even too much for one day. Not only was our home beamed by some sort of extraterrestrial space craft floating above base, we didn't have much time after when the fog suddenly settled in and a white floating orb appeared along with lighting striking at us and lighting the garbage on fire. This was not a fine morning, at all. I have never been so tired in my afterlife as I am right now and Kel is not exempt, having to drink his second coffee of the day since he couldn't sleep throughout this entire night because of it. We ended up collecting codes from the towers early before sunrise instead.
I think we were lucky to do so and honestly I wasn't sure how we didn't notice it sooner when we got home and he started feeling paranoid again. I thought going on a ride would calm him down but the moment we set out, the heat melted his skin off. It was horrible, watching him fall off the ATV and writhing in the sun. I'm not even sure if it's even the sun, whatever it was. It forced Kel to look at it when we were under it's gaze. I had to possess him to drag him back inside. It felt utterly agonizing, how was he not screaming more?
We ended up staying inside for the rest of the day, cleaning a bit only after I got Kel to bandage up. Thank Goodness we had our codes before this happened, we were able to send off our work by the time night time rolled in. I made a suggestion we should do work early in the morning instead, before the sun comes back.
Something happened though, the fog settled in suddenly once again, we could barely see. I wanted to turn back but Kel said we only needed Romeo's code left, so instead we persisted. We ended up crashing into a tree, throwing Kel off the seat tumbling down the hillside, losing his glasses in the process. It was a rather harsh stumble, he was bleeding again.
By this point, I really rather possess him and drag him back but we can't see anything. I can barely tell which was is right or left. Somehow we managed to stumble across Romeo on our own. I concede, I let go of him so he can do his work.
Though I wondered if something happened. I went to watch the outside for a little bit and the grass had turned back to normal. As if the sun had never happened, it was bizarre as well as that fog having vanished. Kel came out looking...distraught? Silent. I tried to ask him what's wrong but he wouldn't say. Or maybe he can't. Either way, I don't want to pry, he doesn't seem comfortable anymore.
We went home.
The rest of the week was blissfully normal, he seemed to gotten better after eating the last of his friend's gifts and drinking shrimp. But his guard is up. Somehow I felt like I failed. I hope for a better week tomorrow, maybe I can convince him to buy something nice for himself, like pizza.
Kel died for the first time in my playthrough between the Romeo and Returning home. I had to reload and I was surprised to see the hills and trees green again! But I felt bad for pushing my poor mc to try and rush this lol. I don't have much energy right now to write Kel's side at the moment maybe I will in the next week of the game!

I like to think the nights are cold here but it's a shame Kel doesn't have a blanket to keep himself warm
(This is OC and Kel, take it as you will)
"Aren't you cold? There's no way your jacket can keep you warm every night"
Is what the ghost said. Kel has been living in the Alpha Base Facility for a week now and Rex finally decided to ask. His permanently roughed up face and bleeding head scrunched in concern for the human's health.
Kel merely shurgs, pulling his jacket over himself "It's not like they sell it on the store, I can't reach anywhere else while I'm here"
"What about that sleeping bag? At least it keeps you warm!"
"But kerfur sleeps in it"
"Kel, I adore Kerfur. But he's not supposed to get warm sleep, he's a machine. If anything, we need to keep him cool" Rex sighs, resting his chin at the edge of the bed. What an odd human his tenant is.
But Kel just waves it off, but he seems to smile a bit more tonight "Whatever, I'll be fine. Go and, watch the sky or what ghostly thing you do"
Rex huffs but relents for now. While Kel curls up into the bed, pulling over his jacket. At least it covers him, but his feet will be cold. The ghost doesn't wishes he could help, but he barely can do anything but make things float and watch the stars for him.
Lighting struck our house, well, facility base. I don't know what was going on there was this white glowing orb around our home. We panicked and ran into the metal door;
