I am a big yapper and if I had more energy and less pain id be the type to make 3 hour video essays. You can leave if the walls of text bother you. You will see a lot of autistic analysing of characters, relationships and stories.
I have been on and off on tumblr since I was 15. as the brain finally hit the 25 year old maturation threshold in 2023 I left for two years and had to question and rebuild a bunch of beliefs implanted across a decade by this site from scratch. For all the time I spent stewing in it, and the realisation of how disconnected it is from any meaningful real life accomplishments, I am absolutely fascinated by the ideological system of control this site created as an insular entity and then crossed over with every fandom, and how it spread outward into tiktok, twitter, discord, bluesky etc. I have basically no flattering words for any of it, and I don’t mince them. This has been met with dislike prior and will probably continue to do so. If it makes you upset leave any time. If you want to look at the art by itself, filter out #politisperging and #fanpol. This is one of my non fiction interests and you will see posts about it, but they’re all tagged. I don’t take offence to anyone not wanting to read them.
I am not here every day or answer every ask, and it’s likely I will end up leaving and returning again. If you ever want to keep in touch feel free to send a msg for discord chat and whatnot.

what has been your favourite chapter of deltarune so far? when it comes to character dynamics and exploration i loved chapter 2 so much and my only wish is that we got to see noelle and ralsei interact because well to be honest i like them, but beyond that i think there is potential for friendship!
visuals and story wise though i loved chapter 4 and all of the new elements that it introduced to the plot but it had so many new gameplay elements i almost felt like i was playing a mod at times 😂
You're not wrong in 3 and 4 pushing the experimental aspects harder than ever before but i am just vibes-based enough personally that i ate that shit upppp overall my fave chapter is definitely 4. something about the music and the chimes and the horror and how the characters are put in situations of conflict and how much we learn about susie and her relationship with kris developing is just so immaculate. Perhaps it is a little cliched to say the most recent chapter is your favorite, but i think it is an excellent boiling point for the main cast and find the audiovisual aspects so goddamn good
what does an ideal endgame kriselle play out as for you? in the context of themes and character developments, not necessarily step by step events
Because Kris and Noelle are so fixated on the past, its all about integration of that past to be able to accept the future. Noelle shows a longing for things being exactly the way they have always been, but that is impossible. Meanwhile kris seems reticent and avoidant to keep away from it all and not have to feel the pain. So imo they can rekindle and finally be together once events in their lives put them in a position where they choose not to continue to either obsess with or escape from the past. This is why i think they have better chance of this as adults, the maturity of age means you can come back and have conversations that you did not because they were too painful
And because both of them have a complicated family history, i think they'd very much the type to get married and try to have a family they build, make some happiness for themselves : )
I just wanted to say thank you for saying all the things I'm too scared to say myself about the transfem ralsei bs going on.
I personally hc him as ftm (because I'm also ftm and I've been able to relate to him since ch1), but at least I acknowledge that it's not, and don't treat it, as canon. Majority of the people who hc him as transfem are just so unnecessarily rude as shit about it and act all 'higher than thee' about their hc, and then they'll go and complain about how "we transfems can't have anything" when other people relate to him when their representation was never their to begin with because RALSEI IS NOT TRANS. I can't stand them.
(Sorry for the rant, it's something that's been pissing me off a lot but I'm too scared to post about it on my own acc cause I already have once and immediately had a bunch of entitled transfems bitching in my comment section about how I can't hc him as ftm and that I'm transphobic for not knowing that "she's obviously an egg", I've even seen someone say that you're not allowed to relate to ralsei if you're transmasc and that if you do you aren't REALLY transmasc, like wtf??)

While I will say I appreciate the candid message and I am glad you have found some solace in my blog, I also have to be honest and say it like it is, precisely from a place of care. you need to stop being scared of loser transfems. I know from experience that it's terrifying and you feel evil and wicked, but you (and this is general you; with a bit of tough love to the other transmascs) need to grow a spine.

I think it's both completely accurate and full of shit at the same time LOL. Obviously there is a cohort of what i would call "historical trans patients" which were primarily homosexual extremely gnc people who are usually aware of their birth sex, have dysphoria based mostly off bodily characteristics, and integrate better into the social aspects of the opposite sex and I think this cohort would continue to exist in a world without social disparities between the sexes. (This cohort was also overwhelmingly male homosexual--- gnc females were never even considered as human enough to move in the hierarchy. Once you are afab that is IT for the other 50% of the population.)

How is this anything other than social? We cannot pretend it is not social anymore. I know myself that I would not have identified as anything else if I did not find these concepts on tumblr at age 15, without even being fully baked yet and trying to find explanations for what was a combination of autism, bisexuality, sensory processing difficulties, and a general repulsion toward femininity from being the victim of female abusers. These possibilities weren't even presented to me until after I stopped identifying, and I was a more "reliable trans case" than a lot of the neopronoun users with 100 kins on this site. I was a transmedicalist, convinced I could get diagnosed without having to follow the list of lies to tell your healthcare provider that circulated around tumblr. I was shocked that so many of my fellow men kept doing the same female social dynamics of intensive group cohesion and concern with minimising any conflict and cliqueism, minutely curating their pink sparkly blogs with aesthetic Sanrio gifs, because my entire trans ID was motivated by getting away from that.
In a world where there was no gender segregation and personality traits and clothing were not treated as anything other than personality traits and pieces of fabric to cover your body with, I would have not developed like 90% of my dysphoria (the remaining 10% being related to autism and sensory nightmares like premenstrual dysphoric disorder). Because I would not have been subjected to misogyny from my mother, mentor figures, and peers for failing to conform. I would have also not identified if I was presented with the concept of "soft" misogyny earlier; if I knew that I was correct in feeling defensive because other girls were trying to "fix" me, rather than constantly being bombarded with the message that I was the prejudiced one and it was me who had to stop being an NLOG and finally conform, a message I am somehow still hearing in my adulthood
So yes, those people are right. There would be a minute 1% of people or less who would probably still seek to modify their secondary sex characteristics. The rest of us though would be GONE. And that is why the idea of this world existing is so upsetting. For a lot of young people and other clusters of mental illnesses like me, this is an excellent substitute for developing a personality and a backbone. The idea of a world where that crutch is not there is existentially terrifying for someone who has nothing beside the crutch.
As for whether this world is possible i think yes, just not within my lifetime. I have accepted that. I don't really see my hair as a "mens haircut" or my clothes as "mens clothes", but they're all bought from the "mens section" for personal taste and practicality reasons, and while those roles continue to exist within my lifetime, it will remain a convenient shorthand for communication, which is often what you need. I wish there was no need to describe myself as GNC, but I don't think I'll ever get to exist in said world, so I've accepted I'll be defending myself and paving the way for other women like me until the day I die. And because its subject to unnecessary judgement, ive learned to take pride in it. I think it is possible because it was illegal once for women to wear pants. We fought for these things. All around the world we continue to fight. Women in Iran were burning their hijabs. Unsurprisingly, you can't just squash half the human population under your boot and expect them to just take it
Have you already spoken about your theory (if you have one) of what exactly Ralsei is? The majority of the fandom seemingly agrees on the idea of his light world form being Kris's headband, but I've seen a few ruminating on the concept of him being their shadow instead. Which is intriguing, but not too sure how that would work.

Take One. The Artificial Construct
This is going under the belief that Deltarune is, in fact, in itself a game-within-a-game of sorts, designed by a Game Master (I have thought, what if Gaster is a contraction of Game Master??) In that case, Ralsei is, in fact, the prince of the dark, and was created from pure darkness from the Castle Town Fountain to be a party member that is also the source of information for the world-- Basically "Tutorial Guy". This explains why he knows so much about the DWs he doesn't know how to divulge, how he knows about the Light World, how he seems to have so much meta awareness and why he seems to predict his own demise: Once the game is over, so is the need for a tutorial guy. It even explains why, as the chapters go on, Ralsei loses stat advantage by being the squishiest party member. His acknowledgement of "not being real" is downstream from awareness of himself as a videogame construct. He literally makes a manual for the heroes...

This plays in if its obligatory that Ralsei has to be an inanimate object. Chapter 3 folded the meta product of the Ralsei plush into the Narrative. Under this theory, Ralsei is the Ralsei plush, but in-lore he is an abandoned/old plush toy. He is described as soft and constantly reinforces himself as a source of comfort and warmth, very child-with-their-comfort-plushy like. He is shaped the way he is and resembles Asriel because potentially the Dreemurrs owned him, maybe even Kris. This however does not explain his meta awareness, or how he knows the rules of the world. Being an old, discarded toy ties into the Pinocchio themes of a "fake boy" becoming "real" and the lecture he gives to Tenna about just letting go when tossed/abandoned.

that's very funny-- Alyssa was the source of my recent interest in mormonism! Admittedly, I don't very much peruse her videos about the doctrine itself because it resonates more with me to see how the control happens and how it shapes your mind to be raised in such a group.
Today I watched a video where she visited a fundamentalist mormon enclave in Utah with another ex-FLDS youtuber, and it was a bit transcendental. A lot of what is intriguing to me about it is how relatable it is to my own experience with "tumblrism cult". I find it fascinating despite how common the rhetoric is anti religion and abrahamic religion, that so much of the internal stuff is fundamentalist religious at its core. Particular aspects about that video that felt like a stab in the kidneys... things that were personally experienced and cried over for two years...

More broadly I was fascinated with her Mormon Disney Adult video due to noticing Tumblrism also attaches to morally simple, children's oriented media (Steven universe, gravity falls, bluey...) I find her commentary very nuanced and insightful and from the feminist perspective I like how honest she is about how little of the rules the women follow is really their choice, how much is really the result of social pressures that are in fact very often enforced by peers, not really even men exclusively. I also love her narration style. I will say that its kind of amusing to me when she uses words like "queer community" and whatnot because of course coming from a cult that is on the other end of the political spectrum, she probably has no idea that all that terminology basically comes from here and expanded outward into academia, from where she probably learned and accrued the terms, and how much pushback there is from "non woke" gay people to stop using them because they're basically "cult terms". Its so... there will always be a cult, I guess. Cult rhetoric will always be floating around, no matter what cult.
I have gotten videos about the Amish since I started watching her vids, so I'll be sure to check them out too per your suggestion. On the North Korea end of things, I've been obsessed with this independent channel: In the Kimdom. I love their deep dives onto topics that aren't directly about the regime's abuses but also about how it uses pop culture and even fashion to comply with ideology, and the way regular citizens navigate life in a cult that is also a country.

Yes, you have blind spots as an american; but thats also true of me as someone who isn't. You can spot the white transgenders for what they are, but the thing is usa culture trickles down to mine. In my latino enclave the key distinction is sexual orientation, not race. I want to ask if the black tw you know are former homosexual men, given my hypothesis is having any previous history of oppression is what makes you sensitive to optics and how civil rights movements actually work. Because my experience in latin america is theres two types: homosexual males who better accept the sex they were born as, better integrate into society (in the sense that they understand that not everyone will always cater to them and try to build honest relationships), are more holistic and real with the expectations of what medical transition will do for them, better solidarise with women (even if theyre still misogynistic at times, because 99.9% of male people have been at some point), and have existed historically for a long time. The local klansfems are brown like a paper bag but they have all the dick flinging, rapey tendencies, misogyny, and depraved fetishes of their white counterparts. I think the real cornerstone here is heterosexuality and autogynephilia, which is one of many verboten concepts that the community tries to pretend are a psyop but are so evident when you have been in there. I also urge you to think if your tfem friends would be as welcoming if you ever criticised them specifically. I have to take your words at face value and assume your friends are kind integral people but my experience even IRL is that I was always second fiddle to the mtf, and aggression seething just under the skin was always waiting to flourish the minute i didn't want to appease or do "girl talk" or basically just exist as a prop to enable them. Now then the race thing. The "x women of x race are more manly" is not a black exclusive though it certainly has strong connections to slavery. But I think it is a self defeatist point as someone else who is not white and is subject to that rhetoric. You seem familiar with the history as a black person. Im not a usian but through cultural osmosis I know that black enslaved women were used as gynecological experiment subjects in the early modern history of that science and were expected to be wet nurses to white babies. These two things are directly connected to the female sex. It doesn't matter how many white people insist that black women are more "male-like", because they know full well who is female and who isn't when it's time to use the female body as a resource. I actually consider that rhetorical line pure white people bullshit and refuse to entertain it.
As for the deconstruction of your friends, my experience as a transman was there was so much hatred for the female sex flipped inwards in my community. I did it myself. To this day I have dysphoria. I have to ask you if you have ever thought that receiving this passive message that you are "less woman" from whites could play a part on why a black female would become genderqueer and how much real deconstruction happens when you follow the logic that yes, in fact, you are less-than-woman so you'll be something else entirely. I am aware you are probably going to disagree with this because I was harsh on this line of questioning as someone who was desperately repulsed at acknowledging my femaleness because the association with weakness, inferiority, and failure to conform was so intrinsic. I think only through radical self acceptance can you have an experience of transition that isnt a swamp of misery buried under cope that you're fine and happier than ever, a performance you keep up because letting it falter is letting the "transphobes win". This is what, like, mormons and jehovahs witnesses do...
I can see the blog posts, I can see the constant venting, most are not happier than ever. Because often, there was no question, and no self acceptance. And I did this too!!!! But a lot of people dont want to face the ugly things!!!! Because they hurt!!! And the only way to protect each other for us ciswomen and transmascs and detrans women is the acknowledgement that we are female. We cannot understand the experience of being born male, and neither can tw and cismen understand our experience. But only one group of the two here has a millenia long history of oppression and it is not male people. Within your context ask yourself who your peer group is likelier to take seriously and prioritise even when race and class factors are stripped. Because my transman experience was that no one took us seriously, and this was basically fully independent of race. Ask yourself if you have heard your peers mock "theyfabs" and "transandrobros", if it is a taboo subject to speak about this (you are sending this on anon, and that in itself is telling to me), and if they have ever held such contempt for the amab people. There is a reason you agree with me, most likely, and its that you can feel this pattern of behavior. A lot of transmascs assume at first erroneously that feminists want to detrans you and want you to conform to societal expectations, but a lot of us dont. It is just advantageous for all of us to not escape the obvious and advocate for ourselves as people born female and understand not even trans status eliminates male privilege, and even within the context of race I know that if I were a latino migrant female in the US and ICE detain me its not just the white agents that are a danger to me but my own latino males. Within ethnic groups, male privilege remains.
Finally to address the woke thing: Yep I am aware of that unfortunate coopting and the history of the word. White transgender movements also have a storied timeline of coopting other slogans, like Black Lives matter (trans lives matter), the future is female (the future is dolls), stop asian hate (stop trans hate), this is what I was wearing when I got raped (this is what I was wearing when I got misgendered). By the way take note of how all the slogan co opting is for the benefit of tw and not tm. The thing is that its hard to convey all about this pseudo cult movement without any convenient shorthand and in internet lingo woke has become the one that is clearest to cause no confusion when i post. It's very stupid and i apologise for that, i wish there was a better term I could use for it. I considered "idpol" too, but that term is more niche. I also considered tumblrism. Alas all I can say is im sorry.
Finally, yeah, you can reach out. However I will be honest with you, there is a chance we will have points of contention and you will not like me. I dont think this is a failure of your character, but i've had more than my fill of being called a transphobe and right winger and whatnot and have grown to expect that until proven otherwise basically. This keeps circulating, and then you check the files and it's Epstein's publicist reaching out to the PR team of Rowling to attend a Harry Potter themed event (and then his name wasn't even in the invite list lol). Other than that, other mentions include a list of high profile mothers and authors, presumably procured for the guy as targets for his web of corruption. She does not directly appear. You know who does and was funded by epstein and was his personal doctor though? Acclaimed and well know gender surgeon Jess Ting.
In fact, despite the insistence that the evil wicked witch had direct contact with Mr. Epstein that has no evidence, Mr. Ting demonstrably was invited and attended Epstein's island to play with his "toys", a trip in which he was with a female friend who had 3 children, and he even goes as far as to specify the ages of them.
So why the fixation with her? Why does her have to be the ultimate evil, despite the fact the smearing brush is kind of equal here, because this is just what men in power do (and she's not even involved at all with current evidence available)?

When the taliban took over afghanistan, she personally sponsored the evacuation of afghan women to protect them from the regime. She has a global foundation that seeks to support poor families so that children don't have to be surrendered to foster care due to economic instabilities. She is the billionaire that uses her money consistently for humanitarian efforts. All of tumblr's male faves just use that money to serially rape women instead, and the fact that the one that doesn't is a "transphobe" causes oceanic amounts of seethe.
