Hello. This is my blog to ramble about all my interests and share my doodles for an internet audience.

Current media interests very obsessed with: Deltarune, Hollow Knight + Silksong

I am a big yapper and if I had more energy and less pain id be the type to make 3 hour video essays. You can leave if the walls of text bother you. You will see a lot of autistic analysing of characters, relationships and stories.

I have been on and off on tumblr since I was 15. as the brain finally hit the 25 year old maturation threshold in 2023 I left for two years and had to question and rebuild a bunch of beliefs implanted across a decade by this site from scratch. For all the time I spent stewing in it, and the realisation of how disconnected it is from any meaningful real life accomplishments, I am absolutely fascinated by the ideological system of control this site created as an insular entity and then crossed over with every fandom, and how it spread outward into tiktok, twitter, discord, bluesky etc. I have basically no flattering words for any of it, and I don’t mince them. This has been met with dislike prior and will probably continue to do so. If it makes you upset leave any time. If you want to look at the art by itself, filter out #politisperging and #fanpol. This is one of my non fiction interests and you will see posts about it, but they’re all tagged. I don’t take offence to anyone not wanting to read them.

I am not here every day or answer every ask, and it’s likely I will end up leaving and returning again. If you ever want to keep in touch feel free to send a msg for discord chat and whatnot.

I have nothing against trans ralsei personally. Like I see the vision, I just don't believe it. But I will say this: I have never met a trans ralsei fan that wasn't insanely obnoxious. And it has definitely become worse with the latest chapter, where now they treat it as completely canonical, like Toby Fox said it himself or something. I've seen normal people say "why are you spreading around a hc like fact" and the only thing they do in response is squeal about how its transphobic to even question it... And a few even talk about and make arguments out of it on posts that don't mention trans hc and on regular art.

Might I add that I've played through the chapter twice, and saw no scene where it is explicitly stated like they claim. There's scenes that have details that could be interpreted that way. But nothing canonical.

Also, in a set of games where there is so much queer and trans representation, to the point where it basically takes up half of the cast or more, would someone conceal that they are trans? Especially since there is no canonical homo/transphobia anywhere in the series (iirc), because of how normal it is in the universe. Some say that it's because in this case it would go against the prophecy and I can get that, but that might be the least of their problems by prophecy terms, and I still don't get why it'd be a big deal.

Maybe I just don't gaf enough about ralsei to be looking at all the details like this or maybe I'm just not woke enough idk. But people are getting weird about it either way.

oh no don't worry. calling you transphobic is like the usual trump card to quiet people, treat it essentially as npc dialogue because that's what it is. the bringing it unasked for on unrelated art is the reason i want to block them, because they're annoying LOL I don't even "see the vision"- or rather, I see the vision, and the vision is stupid. what you mention about them insisting upon it ceaslessly is precisely why i think a lot of people dont genuinely like this and just see it as an opportunity to virtue signal. if you've ever been the type of person to receive pity compliments, you can see this performativity for what it is immediately

Absolutely hated chapter 5 and forever a lover of weird and genocide routes more than the normal ones as well... an opinion nearly impossible to find in the midst of glazers of cocksuckers, you really don't need more than juggling keys to please the fandom masses... anywho, a game that wasn't rushed and somehow has better storylines and lesbians and everything exists and it's called hollow knight: silksong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I love your hk fanart)

Her being a complicated woman is intrinsically tied into that. Somehow, I can’t really flag her as outright abusive…? It’s a gut feeling for certain, this sensation that the Carol we see in the game is a woman overloaded with grief and unable to cope with it in any healthy manner. She definitely seems emotionally neglectful though. It would be interesting to see if she has always been this stringent, or if it’s the circumstances that have worsened her. I could not blame Noelle for lowering contact after growing up, but I get this feeling that she genuinely loves her children, enough to go to extreme measures for them, and part of her demanding demeanour is the result of wanting them to be independent and self assured, even if these efforts are misguided.

So, even if Noelle lowers contact with age, just as much I could see Carol being able to regret it, reflect on her actions, readjust course. It’s kind of impressive how much characterisation was squeezed into her single sequence on screen so far, honestly

I forgot to mention one of the most interesting aspects of the chapter 5 weird route was seeing how much Noelle takes after Carol when shit gets real, down to the face sprites being somewhat similar

not at all, yordles are exceptions it only takes a push of a button for me to be autistic about them trust me

I like it (design wise). rito has decided the literal slave (???????) has to be a goofy ass forever and ever to my chagrin but at least this is not the most criminal instance of it. my only real gripe with the two skins is they sin of "infernal all over again" and the flame and crown being attached to the rig of his hat looks so fucking janky especially for a prestige skin. my boy needs a visual update so fucking bad jesus. subjectively however i don't mind it, i love the angry kitty face, I dont understand the odd buzz ive seen about it being veigar's face reveal though (?) this outs my turboautism but beside omega squad, the real kittycat confirmation we got was bandle tale, esp. the collectors edition figure lol

I don't know if you like soriel at all, I can't remember, but given chapter 5 gives more evidence to the "UT sans is the sans from deltarune" theory, what do you think about the potential angst that gives the soriel ship (sans gets stranded in an alternate timeline, everything he knows and loves is gone and one day he recognizes a voice of someone he once cared for from behind a door, but he knows that's not the same toriel he knew).

Honestly that deltarune theory has got me interested in the characterization of sans again.

this may be a hot take but that actually somewhat cheapens soriel for me. I find it much more interesting that sans did allat for someone he only knew as a voice; him latching onto toriel because it was ~the love from another universe~ somehow feels more shallow

in fact, the sans is a DR>UT transplant aspect has always felt cheap to me. I'm not opposed to sans and papyrus coming from elsewhere, but it feels like forcing a multiverse where one really isn't needed at the expense of the emotional core. marvel writing-esque, imo

Do u think Toriel is an alcoholic when Kris isnt around

Im not even opposed to the idea of Toriel being a wine mom type (unsure if functional alcoholic, or just a really bad social drinker). I think it’s a very compelling character flaw for her to have, the same way Rudy is an enabler, Asgore is single minded to the point of neglect, and Carol is a stringent workaholic. Sometimes you can rlly tell someone had loving parents without that erasing the minute ways in which those parents tried and didn’t succeed because of their own baggage, and I find deltarune grounded in that regard. One of the things that makes the characters feel so people-like imo. The game even seems to hint at this somewhat the way kris is not particularly shocked at seeing her hungover, but even then she acknowledges that was probably disturbing to Susie… I like that a lot

tobyfox had to patch in some giant friend lore drop lmao,the anon who said this chapter was rushed was spot cus how do you forget to add major lore drops regarding an unknown character that was officially introduced in one cutscene like??

i don't even consider it that huge a lore drop! ... I just kinda never cared about the FRIEND stuff admittedly... not outside the connection with noelle being a glitch hunter, which became vastly more interesting after her role in the WR where there's this almost supernatural aspect of her maybe being so fixated on these things as a premonition of her eventual awareness of her programmed behavior. I saw a cool tiktok of someone saying in the 8bit segment of chapter 3 there are these idle white cat obstacles and it is only after you defeat the singing pink cat that the other ones come after you. it'd be cool if you just have to fight a bunch of cat abominations, if solely for the aesthetic

My conspiracy theory is that Toby rushed himself to get Chapter 5 out, and the writing suffered. Why was the festival devoid of minigames, with a black screen for the hyped-up ferris wheel? Why was Suselle so clunky and front-loaded? Why did Ralsei hate Flowery on sight? Because Toby promised to release this year, and he REALLY wanted his yuri chapter to launch on Yuri Day in Japan, so he rushed the script to the artists. And if that's the playbook now, then I fear for the rest of the game.
