So I was going through the soriel tag and saw your post from 2025 saying "gun to sans head, if you leave her alone I swear to god-" paraphrasing but still

He did technically leave her alone but he left her in a better place than she was via chores and stocking the fridge and putting a blanket (or his coat, can't really tell with pixels) over her, she has regrets but it doesn't have to do with sans, more with letting Kris and Susie see her like that and accidentally being loud enough to disturb kris's sleep

So

Does that mean sans gets to live? Lol

i IMMEDIATELY thought about that when i went downstairs in the game lmfao. he got her a free fridgeful of groceries, took out the trash, possibly cleaned the sink (?) (i had to replay the ending of chapter 4 and it was already clean when they were bugging out so not 100% sure if that specifically was him) and threw a blanket over her when she crashed on chairiel. I'm guessing he had to go prepare things for the festival so he had to leave in the morning one way or another...? maybe he woke her up to say goodbye, maybe he let her sleep off her hungover in peace, either way now i know for sure it was something done out of kindness. he's a good guy, especially when it comes to her

CHAPTER 5 SPOILERS

Sooo...am I the only one who doesnt hate sans anymore...? From what we see at the start of Chapter 5, and also from just EVERYTHING we know about sans from both undertale and deltarune, he cares about Toriel a LOT.

He gives her a blanket, cleans the house, buys her groceries and generally just makes sure shes okay. I genuinely think that he loves her and although hes still bad with talking to Kris, its also not really his place to talk about these things? Hes not Kris' dad, i dont think he should be having serious conversations with this kid, thats what Toriel should be doing.

Idk, I was one of those (for some reason extremely despised) Soriel shippers back in undertale, not even because I necessarily liked the ship, mostly just cause...well I thought it was very clearly canon, so seeing this here just makes sense to me. Sans has always cared about Toriel and i never really expected that to change just because he's now in the deltarune universe (or maybe he was always from here??? Idfk at this point).
