All the newest residents of the town of Oakhurst are vampires. Except for Owen and Scott.

About this AU

This is a vsmp au where Scott and Owen are the only two humans that arrived in Oakhurst, and they have to try to keep this a secret to avoid being killed or turned.

Not sure if anyone's asked this before but what's going on with Martyn and Ren? Mainly thinking of how badly they wanted to keep their humanity in canon, what's that look like here with their vampirism? Also this is a really cool au and your art is amazing!!

Tbh, I've not really thought too much about Martyn and Ren in this AU since they don't really affect the main storyline that much (I have a bad habit of only planning the bare minimum before jumping into a project) and there are other characters that I want to explore more

The little bit I did write down about Martyn was that he's a bit more accepting of his vampirism in this AU because he sees it as an opportunity to make a better life for himself, because now he has all the time in the world! Whenever something doesn't work out for him, he'll just be able to try again

As for Ren, I haven't really decided on anything, but I'm open to hearing your thoughts!

Just want to let you all know that progress is gonna be a bit slower for at least the next few comics because my wrist has been bothering me a bit recently, so I've not been drawing that much

If Apo could become human again, but there's about a 75% chance she might never see Cherri again, would she take the risk or completely refuse even the slightest possibility of never seeing her again?

I think Apo has enough determination to make those odds work in her favor

Two things I’ve been thinking about with this AU.

One, Scott can use his manipulation skills to say that he and Owen were vampires at the start, but found the cure book and cured themselves. I don’t know if it’ll do anything, but just a random thought, especially since their sires would be dead in this AU in the same way as canon.

Two, Shelby asking Drift for help protecting Scott and Owen, Apo overhearing, and the three end up working together.

Interesting ideas! Though for the first one I feel like the vamps wouldn't really care that they used to vampires, just that they're human now and therefore a meal

For the second one, I don't think Apo cares enough about Scott or Owen to put herself in danger for them. Her priorities right now are to 1. get out and back to Cherri and 2. see if there's a way out of vampirism because her self-loathing right now is bad

Sorry if this has been asked before/already shown up and I just missed it, but tbh it'd be really funny if, at some point, Scott's main motivation for not getting caught becomes "if I'm caught so is Owen, and I'm not THAT much of a dick". He just seems like the kinda guy to completely deny someone's his friend, but be very protective of them at the same time.

Sorry but he IS that much of a dick, he would totally pretend to be someone's friend and treat them as one purely because it benefits him in some way. With Owen, it's because he helps him hide and sneak food, and similar reasons with Shelby

Scott doesn't want to be caught because he's worried that the vampires will just kill him fully dead and won't turn him

Does Cherri know that Apo is a vampire?

Yes! There was enough time between Apo being turned and her being dragged away to Oakhurst by the military to go home and tell Cherri about what had happened
