Antis can't be assed to do the bare minimum amount of research about the topics they claim to be passionate about, let alone about the group they claim to be valiantly combating
Proship has nothing to do with someone's preference for dark or taboo subjects, it simply means believing that everyone has the right to ship whatever they like. While that stance does include problematic ships, it doesn't mean that it's centered around them
The stance also covers the belief of "Don't Like? Don't Read" meaning to curate your online experience and stepping away from what bothers/upsets oneself, instead of bringing drama and/or harassment to fandom spaces
Antis are willing to make jokes about real life pedophiles and criminal cases involving the harm of minors (Diddy, Epstein, EDP, etc etc)
If someone isn't a "perfect victim" they turn around and flat out state that that person deserved what happened to them, sometimes even going so far as to say it should happen again
Other than being USA centric, antis oftentimes make racist statements to reinforce their beliefs, such as assuming all proshippers are of one specific racial background or claiming that other cultures/countries have "bad morals" or should be wiped out
Even when presented with statements from psychologists, psychiatrists and therapists, antis simply claim that anyone who disagrees with their stances should have their license(s) revoked
Antis also refuse to take into consideration the multiple pleas from law enforcement agencies, who beg people to stop reporting cartoons and fiction to their hotlines, since it wastes their time and slows down the process of helping/saving actual CSA/CSAM/CSEM victims
The common belief among antis is that someone would be better off dead, rather than experiencing any sexual trauma and surviving, hence why they're often so doting on fictional violence and gore, but become reactionary when anything dark or taboo has any hint of sexuality to it
Antis believe that censorship is similar or equal to curating content they consume, oftentimes refusing to realize or understand that censorship won't stop at the specific things they dislike; that it can and will affect marginalized groups' existence and representation and shut down creative liberty and people's self expression
It's easy for someone to project onto fictional characters, considering the fact that they are merely objects. Boundaries, limits and feelings don't actually affect them, so antis can transform them into the perfect object of their obsession and/or reverence
In turn, this makes it exceedingly easy for antis to project their preferences onto said characters, more often than not contrasting with their actual personality and existence in their source, which makes them even more bashful of real people who can't match their imaginary standards
It's easier for them to care for someone who can never tell them that they're wrong or harmful, instead of taking the time to listen to the actual people who may be affected negatively by their actions and misinformation
