Right in front of my home. Thereâs a lot of undigested corn in this deers stomach (much more than you can see in the photo), which seems to be a fairly likely culprit?
I could easily be wrong, but still, donât feed wildlife.
White Supremacists on Etsy
Disclaimer: Iâm not encouraging anyone to start harrassing these people, but just listing them so you can avoid supporting their work.  So, there are a lot of neo-nazis/white supremacists on etsy, many of them masquerading under viking and neopagan art. There are also a lot of good-hearted people who have an interest in those sorts of things, and presumably donât want to support that type of person. However, etsy wonât remove a shop if it isnât blatantly supporting nazism, so Iâve been doing background checks on suspicious shops. I found a lot that Iâm pretty suspicious of after checking, but Iâm not going to publicly call out people who are potentially innocent (itâs a good idea to get familiar with lesser known hate symbols if youâre shopping for these sorts of products, so you can make your own judgements). I did, however, find some shops that I am 100% sure belong to neo-nazis/white supremacists (if I find more, Iâll add them. If you know of any that youâre sure about, or need help confirming, let me know): jewelryofasgard TheSlavicWay LangsonArt Tyrwotor Acosori Evidence under the read more

đ°â„ Now available and listed!â„đ° If you have been watching my SnapChat stories for a while, you have probably noticed that I have been practicing traditional taxidermy more frequently lately. I believe it can be a respectful way to use more of an animal that I have found, while also giving the animal another âlifeâ after its death. I will be creating many new pieces that will be available in my etsy {link in bio.} including this rabbit shoulder mount. She is an eastern cottontail rabbit that was found in the road about a year ago. She was in my freezer waiting to be given another life, and now she is waiting to find a new permanent home.đ°đż âšI have also created a new IG specifically for my shop, @shinerskulls . I will be posting many updates of items that I donât normally post here, so check it out and follow that account if youâd like to stay even more updated on more of my work! . . #vultureculture #rabbittaxidermy #taxidermy #rabbitmount #shouldermount #cottontailrabbit #roadkill #blackrabbit #follow #f4f #followme #followforfollow #follow4follow #teamfollowback #followher #followbackteam #followhim #followall #followalways #followback #me #love #pleasefollow #follows #follower #following (at O'Brien, Florida)
every year in like late spring and summer thereâs this big ol chicken of the woods that grows in my yard and this year i figured I would ~document it~ with cellphone pics and I forgot about it until just a couple hours ago and I decided to make a gif instead of doing real work.
All the pics were from slightly different angles and distances and putting this together was hell and making tumblr let me actually post it was also hell i srsly respect people who regularly are doin this shit.

I love most bugs but I am very scared of spiders and I donât want to be. My older sisterâs friend saw my collection of pinned bugs and mentioned she gets a lot of dead spiders in her basement and offers to bring me some. I decide to take her up on the offer, thinking itâs a good chance to get over my fear. Cue me, near tears, using tweezers to pick up a dead wolf spider out of the cigarette box she brought me and quickly but carefully putting it into my rehydration jar, somehow terrified that this very dead spider will magically resurrect. Itâs such a ridiculous fear and I just want to not have it but they are so scary looking? I literally feel sick from doing that lmaoÂ
Guinevere is a beautiful toad who enjoys flower crowns and looking perpetually grumpy. âą Buy this artwork on apparel, phone cases, home decor, and more.

Okay I cannot believe this happened three separate times with three separate etsy sellers -I buy a skull or wet specimen. -I wait for it to ship and it never does -I send a polite message to the seller asking when I should expect my item to ship -A couple days later and they still havenât responded, so I check into their shop. -âUh oh! Sorry, the member you are looking for does not exist.â I assume this means someone else reported them? Like I try to give them the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe they ran into healthy issues, but then I manage find the same person being active elsewhere online. Itâs so frustrating. I just wish others who sell on etsy would at least communicate if theyâre not able to send my order? Like Iâve had problems with sellers outside of the vulture culture community but they usually communicate and I know whatâs going on.
Vulture Culture Problems:

Some Vulture Etiquette
Sooo, I really want this community to be a positive one, and so far itâs been pretty great, though thereâs been a few incidents and Iâve seen some things said that are somewhat worrying. Iâve had some pretty negative experiences in other hobby-based communities, and I donât want vulture culture to turn into that. Feel free to add anything important I may have missed.
Not everyone has the same values, many are bound to have different ideas of what is âethicalâ and âcruelty freeâ. Arguing about it never goes anywhere, we can easily coexist peacefully, even if we disagree. (just try to make your sources clear when youâre selling things.)
Donât make fun of people who are triggered by gore, or make jokes about triggers. Yes, itâs awful that people report our blogs and images, but thatâs not an excuse to trivialize serious disorders.
Be kind and helpful to newbies. Be understanding when theyâre not well versed in methods of processing animals or animal laws. We were all new once.
Itâs pretty disrespectful to ask people grieving for recently deceased pets for the animalâs body, no matter how much you want it. If theyâre aware of your hobby and feel comfortable donating it to you, they will do so without your prompting.
Donât assume everyone lives in the same state/country as you. There are vultures all over, and weâre not all subject to the same laws.
Be careful how you tag your images, especially the gorier stuff. Play it on the safe side, donât post images of dead animals in tags where itâs going to catch people off guard. (this is no guarantee people wonât see unwanted images, but itâs still nice to do your best.) Remember to tag for things that people commonly tumblrsavior, such as âdead animalâ.
Not everyone has access to the same materials and resources, respect that, and donât be an elitist.
If you arenât a Native American, donât label your work as âNative Americanâ. (In the US it is illegal to misrepresent your work that way, btw)
For that matter, just straight up avoid cultural appropriation
Just be nice, respectful, and donât start needless fights and drama. Itâs easy. When someone innocently does something wrong, donât jump straight to attacking them, please.
cultural appropriation is a good thing.
it is the mixing of cultures
stop
just stop
Okay I used to be of a similar belief, and no one person talked me out of it, it just took time, education and interacting with people of various backgrounds. So I donât expect to change your mind but I would recommend you read this link.
Every time I get myself a new dead thing that is still vaguely alive looking (even if itâs just a pelt or wet specimen) I go through about a week of âWOAH WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?â every time I briefly glimpse it out of the corner of my eye . Like I put my new mummified mouse on the shelf next to my bedroom door and itâs at about eye level and every time I leave my room I scare the bejeezus out of myself.
My dad found me this naturally mummified baby m0use. For some reason it was rolled up in an old rug that had been sitting in the garage. Besides around the mouth and a patch of fur on both sides, itâs oddly well preserved, no odor or anything. Itâs pretty sad. but a pretty cool find.
A few people have asked about cicada terrariums in the past, and finally, hereâs my first!
