tldr; i’m closing this vlog (and eventually deleting it) and moving over to @/rxiwrites. thank you to everyone for the support they’ve given me years ago!
hey everyone! it’s been the hottest fucking minute since i’ve touched this writing blog.
i started this blog back in 2020 right at the beginning of quarantine – at the peak of everyone starting new hobbies and getting into new fandoms. i wanted to turn the different scenarios i came up with (no matter how unique or unoriginal they might be) and execute them through the different characters we know and love from different shows and movies.
at the time, i was a college kid trying to keep myself productive in between classes since i (and the rest of the world) was stuck inside. then 2021 hit and i started taking in-person classes again and started an internship that would eventually turn into my current career (and i am so grateful to have been given that opportunity). i busied myself with graduating college and building up my work experience and just living life, which caused me to stop writing and growing out of different fandoms (i still love them, just not into it as much as i used to be). i still had many outlines of different fic ideas saved and even created new ones – i just never had the time to fully execute them properly.
yes, this blog is considered abandoned lol but i do not regret putting writing on pause in order to work more and explore a world post-pandemic and post-college (adulting is hard y’all). but having new life experiences and eventually settling into a more relaxed part in my life, i feel like i could start writing again. i feel like my writing style has matured a bit and i could use my life experiences and developed knowledge as inspiration into creating better-flowing stories (with some of my favorites still as the main lead of course).
although i can just suddenly revive this vlog and start publishing again, i feel like i need to start clean – start a new slate. to me, it’s easier to just start a new blog than rather to mass delete posts (aw we messed up, we gotta go bald). i want to have a different feel/aesthetic to my new blog. rather than reposting gifsets of my faves (all beautifully made!!), i want my blog to be more focused on the writing. while there might be random shit posted/reblogged in between, i want to reblog a post because i want it to be on my blog, not just random posts in between my texts. i still want some whimsy here!
so, whether you decide to follow me on my new writing journey over on my new blog @/rxiwrites and/or unfollow me on this blog, or just simply feel indifferent – i appreciate you taking the time to read this and to have supported me in any way, even if it’s just coming across my writing and taking a curious glance over it.
don’t worry! although i plan on deleting this blog, i will try to transfer some of my favorite pieces over to the new blog (and even rewrite some of them, improving some parts while staying true to the original plot). but i also hope that you will be open to more different (and cheesy) oneshots and series.
i’ll still keep this blog open up for a bit, so if you want to send in an ask (no requests pls), feel free to do so!
