•keith adopted every little reptile he'd find near his shack •all of them had names •he named a lizard grego once •he had like 4 snakes named alfie because he thought they were the same snake •he would also find succulents and plants and plant them near his shack •he would talk to them sometimes •he made up his own constellations at night •He'd tell his animals friends and plant friends about his new constellations •"I named that one Diane because that's what my dad called mom" •keith would still talk to his parents out loud sometimes •mostly out of spite •"look at me, Jack. this is how you take care of something. fuck you jack" •he loved his plants and reptile friends •he continued to name the constellations when he became a paladin •he also named every animal or plant they came across in his head

•does the count down from 3 thing when the paladins are being weird •he loves animals and animals are scared of him?? •doesn't know his own strength •one time he broke a chair •he's still embarrassed from that •"keith shut up ur like 12" •whenever the paladins need "A Talk" he pulls the "but i'm 6" card •shiro has only said one curse his whole life •keith tries to tell the paladins he used to have the mouth of a sailor •no one believes him •shiro used to have anger issues •now he meditates when he gets too angry •except with slav •"thanks slav" is the new "thanks obama" to shiro •still drinks juice

Klance Headcannon

•all the paladins are in the control room working on various things •keith sneezes •lance says "love you" because he's focused on his task and didn't think about it •keith says "love you too" out of reflex (also cause he has no impulse control so it just,,came out) •they both freeze, and blush really hard •keith just bolts out of there •lance makes a half assed excuse and runs into his room to scream into his pillow •they both think it was a slip of the tongue and the other didn't really mean it, like that •hint: it was meant like that •the rest of them just face palm because how the fuck are they so oblivious

Consider: Keith either snores or talks in his sleep

Keith probably talks in his sleep more, and the stuff that he says is usually related to what he’s dreaming about, which Lance finds hilarious (the castle walls between rooms are thin, and Lance can hear stuff from Keith’s room sometimes).

Sometimes it’s about Voltron and stuff, like an occasional confused “Vol..Voltron!!”, but Lance mostly hears stuff related to weapons like one time Lance heard Keith angrily arguing in his sleep about how he would fight anyone who insults his blade. 

One time they’re having a team sleepover and as everyone is going to bed, Keith is already knocked out from that day’s intense training and Lance hears Keith muttering, “fuck you..,, lance…,” (which Lance finds hilarious) … “fuck you for being so pretty..,” (which maybe would be more hilarious if not for the fact that lance is absolutely flustered. pidge still finds it hilarious though.)

In training the next day: Pidge: Hey Keith! Do you think Lance is pretty … good at sharpshooting?

Keith: Uh, yeah?

Lance: *flustered and hisses at Pidge to shut up*

Galra Keith

•he makes little squeaks when surprised •he purrs when he's happy,stressed, nervous •he has a tail •he swishes his tail •lance once step on his tail and keith almost bit him out of reflex •lance called him catboy for two weeks •He has big ears •he has darker purple fur cause it's a mix of his human hair color and galra genes •lance loves giving him ear scratches so he purs •keith is embarrassed by his purring •he has to take dust baths sometimes because his fur is so thick water gets trapped and hurts his skin/fur •everyone thinks galra keith is just a super cute giant kitty •pidge and hunk made a laser pointer for him •it worked •keith got so embarrassed when he realized he chased a laser pointer •he climbed onto the altean equivalent to a fridge once •will take naps in the weirdest places •lance keeps a tally in his head on how many weird spots he'll find keith curled up in •he'll go back and leave a blanket or pillow when keith is gone •the tally is at 2 •keith is one of those cats who will sit really close to you but ignore you •gets angry when you ignore him though •lance it's constantly confused on whether to love on keith or not

Garrison Keith pt.2

•He got a two week suspension after accidentally blowing up garrison tech •after he came back from his suspension his language teacher forced him to write a translation on the board •He got the translation wrong and the teacher wouldn’t help him fix it, instead told him he shouldn’t have missed class •he told the teacher “i obviously can’t do it right so fuck off and do it yourself” •and sat down •the rest of the class just, stared at him •The teacher used to use a microphone in the class to keep students awake •Keith once had a “debate” with another student using the microphone •it was just him and lance bickering for ten minutes until they got the microphone confiscated •teacher made keith present using said microphone •keith broke the microphone •the class applauded him •he got detention •was asked to make a house from said country with a partner •the partner said he had the worlds worst guy name •he never remembered lance mcclains name •constantly called him lane,larry,michael,clay, whatever came to his head •he couldn’t understand the directions because they were in the language he was learning •he and his partner winged the presentation •they got a 62 on the house •keith broke the house model in the class

•His childhood friends were convinced he has curly hair growing up because he never washed his hair after going in the ocean so it was always curly •he told them it was naturally like that because he thought curly hair was cooler •his friends believed it for years, until lance washed his hair during a sleepover

Lance and Allura Friendship Headcannons

•Lance makes sure to learn all of Alluras little ticks so he can help her because she won't reach out for help •He'll bring her food and water and brush her hair out while she works to keep her from getting too stressed •sometimes when they can't sleep lance will teach allura different hair styles from earth (i.e, types of braids, ponytails stuff like that) •Allura shows him Altean hairstyles •Lance asks about different types of Altean clothing •she explains and they play dress up while the others are on a small mission •Lance supports her decisions, but if they're not completely safe he'll try and help make a sounder plan •She puts makeup on Lance at least one •Lance loved it, everyone else was very confused •Lance convinced Allura Godzilla is real •She wants to travel to earth to save them from godzilla •The team has to explain that it's just a movie •Allura doesn't find the movie trope funny •Coran relates godzilla to a house pet on Altea •Allura will spar with Lance when they have some down time because he wants to get better •and he knows Allura needs to let off some steam sometimes too •Lance will stay up late with Allura and just listen as she talks about everything that happened to her •he understands that what happened to her people is still a very fresh memory to her and let's her talk to him •They love and cherish eachother ok •Best friends •Allura starts to find Lances' pick up lines more endearing when she learns it's not him wanting to "pick her up" but it makes him think of family •She tells him he reminds her of her cousin •They talk about their family •They think of eachother as siblings soon enough

Headcannons

•Lance was a middle child •He had two older siblings and twin younger siblings •He was closest with his mama but also really cherished his dad •his oldest sister taught him beauty hacks and they had spa days together to bond •his older brother taught lance his pick up lines •his younger sisters wouldn't stop annoying him •between all of them there wasn't any silence in the house •people we're always talking •When he left earth lance tried to keep up what he did with his family so he wouldn't forget them •he got allura to do a spa day with him once •it got interrupted by a galra attack •he and allura fought the galra with face masks on •Shiro would let him talk in spanish to him when neither of them would sleep •Shiro took spanish classes during school and could pick up some words and phrases •Lance figured this out and set his goal to teach shiro whenever he could some spanish •it was a good way for lance to cope with homesickness and help Shiro after his nightmares •He would bicker with keith like his siblings did with him •he knew keith found it annoying but couldn't stop •he just hoped keith thought of him as family too •he would check up on pidge constantly •always bringing food and water to their room when they got too focused and forgot •Pidge would never tell him this but they think of Lance as an older brother •it helps them when they think about matt •Lance just wants to help her fill the void her family left until they can find them again
