Hey hi!! Call us Vyn!!

Decided to make a coining and flag blog since we like to coin terms for our specific plural experiences.

This blog is run by The Shipwreck. We interact back from @meepmrop.

The main member of of our system that will be running the blog is @zerasocial. I generally don't tag what specific ones I coin, but Mira from @knights-of-the-village, who co-mods the blog with me, will tag the posts she coins.

Requests are allowed, but no guarantee if we'll ever get to them. ★

◆ Can't say how often we'll coin things, but all our terms are allowed to be added to pluralpedia!! Let us know if you add it cause we can't figure out how to add things to pluralpedia on our own...

◆ All of our terms are allowed to be reposted anywhere, and credit isn't required but appreciated!!. We would also very much appreciate our terms being added to archival sites!!

◆ If a similar or identical term already exists elsewhere, feel free to use whichever definition or presentation best fits your needs; my version can be considered an alternative framing and flag design.

Our BYI, however, does not apply to archival purposes!! You're free to reblog our posts to archive, even if you're against our stances.

Attrahoprotectic: an orientation label for one who experiences primary or exclusive attraction towards others who have a protective nature. made with those who experience cedural attraction in mind, but not exclusive.

Idolmasked

A term for those who describe their mask as being like an 'idol'. The user would act like an idol (whatever that means to the user) to hide traits of their disorder(s) such as autism, ASPD, OCD, ect.

I am keeping the definition of an idol vage as there's many types of idols and personalities that could be used here.

Service Dog : A term for individuals with close romantic/platonic/alterous relationships with a physically (or mentally) disabled individual who value their ability to help their disabled partner regulate themselves, their ability to take care of their needs, and who enjoy doing things that may be harder for their partner. This term can be used by caninekins, canine headmates, or those with canine genders, but it is not exclusive to them

A term for headmates who help the (physically or mentally) disabled people present in the collective's lives in ways akin to a service dog. Alternatively, a service dog headmate could be a caretaker or caregiver in a bodily disabled collective that helps the collective self regulate and take care of their needs regarding their disability

SENTIMATE

★ A type of sentispace that is also a headmate. This can mean a few different things.

A headmate who is simultaneously a sentispace for whatever reason

Being a sentispace and taking a physical form in the innerworld to communicate with headmates better

A headmate or sentispace that fluctuates between being one, the other, or both.

CUSTODIAFFIAN ATTRACTION

A form of attraction characterized by an instinctive, affectionate sense of guardianship or emotional stewardship toward another person. It involves a soft, protective attachment where one feels drawn to care for, remain close to, and emotionally “look after” someone in a fond, not strictly familial or platonic way, without implying authority or control over them.

This term was coined as a complementary counterpart to ductuaffectis, which describes an instinct-driven, pet-like devotion and affection directed toward another person, often compared to how a loyal animal might feel toward its caregiver. Custodiaffian attraction is inspired specifically by reversing that emotional direction: instead of being the recipient of instinctive devotion, it describes the experience of being the one who feels instinctively compelled to care for and safeguard another person in a similarly affectionate way.

Custodiaffian is formed from Latin roots:

custodia — “guarding, custody, protection, care, stewardship”

affectus / affectis — “feeling, affection, emotional state”

The suffix -ian/ianus is used to indicate “relating to” or “characterized by.”

A flag for insider on Pluralpedia, mainly for the first definition:

A headmate that does not front, or take control of the body. They may prefer to passively influence whoever is fronting, stay co-conscious, or only front in blends.

◆ COMFORT ATTRACTION

An attraction described as the desire to be comforted (or to comfort) an individual.

Can be considered a kind of social, mental, or familial attraction.

If one considers their comfort attraction to be influenced by another attraction, it can be used like "[attraction]comforting" or "[attraction]comforted", the first leaning more to the desire to comfort others, the second leaning more towards desiring oneself to be comforted by others. This can be considered a required attraction in such a case, as the individual would need to feel influenced by one kind of attraction before feeling comfort attraction.

Comfort attraction is inspired by uyutsexual, but soley the cozy aspect, as our headmate felt a kind of attraction to someone but only due to the desire to be comforted and nothing else.

◆ SYMBIOTIC ATTRACTION

A type of attraction relating to having/wishing to have a symbiotic relationship with someone/something.

Inspired by a piece of the definition of platonic attraction, "revolve around a willingness to engage in a very deep symbiotic friendship", though aplatonics are very much allowed to use our term!!
