If it was for some beers and hurricane Irene, this blog would have been called "reflections on inefficiency". But for the sake of journalistic freedom I decided to keep it a little bit more abstract. It's first and foremost a private blog to keep family and friends abroad posted on my life in New York City. But I'm also trying to keep it bilingual, as American readers might appreciate the European perspective on certain issues that I see myself confronted with. Marching alongside over 400,000 protesters at yesterday's #Womensmarch in NYC gave me hope. For the next 1380 days, we must not forget that this is not normal and that we need to resist and take action, small or big, every single day! (at New York, New York)

On this morning's dive we got to observe bull sharks. While they have the reputation of being "killer machines" we observed them as beautiful, graceful animals that just wanted to see what's up and then swim off to do their thing. This was not a cage dive or a shark feeding. Just us and the bull sharks swimming around. Couldn't have ended our time in Mexico with a better experience! 🙌🏼 (at Playa del Carmen, Mexico)
