Fanfic writer (and artist though I'm more likely to post my writing) whose latest obessesion is apparently F1. Lando is my favorite driver (though I like many others and there is no driver I truly hate) and Norrix is my OTP (though I dabble in other ships as well). I have too many ideas baking in my noggin at once so things don't exactly get written fast!

I have quite a few AUs (edit: that is an understatement), all in various states of completion. I thought, what better way to force myself to work on them than by making a list and opening them up for questions?
You can ask pretty much anything about the characters, plot, lore, or anything else, though if something would reveal a major spoiler or twist that I don't want prematurely revealed, I will politely decline your question for the time being. If I don't actually have an answer yet, maybe your question will be what helps me fill in that blank! I may also be more motivated to work on a particular AU if more people are interested in it, so if there's one you really want to see me work on, please ask a question about it!
This list will be updated whenever I get a new AU idea that I seriously think I will get around to writing. If an AU has already been started and posted, it'll be linked to the AO3 series. If an AU is "complete," I will probably leave it in this list just in case you guys are still curious about the extended lore, or if I ever get the urge to add to it again.
Some of these ideas are a lot more fleshed out than others. Some might not be much more than vague ideas at the moment. Ones at the bottom of the list are more likely to be less fleshed-out. So if I haven't gotten to one you'd like to see yet, it's probably because it needs more time to bake.
Here's all of my current AUs:
The Adventures of Peanut the Paddock Pup - multi-fic series, Norrix; fluffy puppy shenanigans.
Daemon AU - Norrix, Loscar, others TBD; pretty self-explanatory, everyone has a daemon; like the Equestrian AU, more a collection of stories/ideas than an overarching plot.
Interstellar AU - at various points there will be Carlando, Norrix, Carcar (not overlapping . . . well okay, kind of. There's a lot of relativity and time shenanigans involved); single fic.
Leviathan AU - Brocedes; based on the book trilogy by Scott Westerfield.
F1 Demon Hunters AU - single fic, inspired by K-Pop Demon Hunters; I'm leaning towards Norrix but Carlando isn't out of the question yet
The Martian AU - single fic; Norrix, background Versainz
WolfWalkers AU - platonic Bearcon, Bearnelli, Charlos, Landoscar; some drivers are WolfWalkers and magical shenanigans ensue.

I love how Grace insults the guy by saying he's a "staggering waste of carbon". Not oxygen. Oxygen has been done before, a waste of the air you breathe, oxygen is mean, yes, but carbon. Grace gets right down to what humans are made of when he insults people and I love that tbh
idk i just think we’ve become overly mean as a society. the “you don’t owe people anything” mindset has gone a little too far at times. i do in fact think you owe people kindness and respect at the base level. sure, if someone doesn’t reciprocate that then feel free to stop. but our first reaction has got to stop being cruelty and hatred.
was talking to my gf about my fear of dying young for being trans and my mom putting my deadname on my gravestone, and she said "i hope that never happens, but if it does, i will carve your name into your grave myself if i have to." and i think theres something extremely raw about that sentiment and trans community in general. you can kill only our bodies, but you cant kill transsexuality
Sending love to everyone who is just… tired. Life is a lot right now. Whether it’s decision fatigue, anxiety fatigue, information fatigue, career fatigue, social fatigue, financial fatigue, or the exhaustion of getting your life back together, give yourself space and grace. Be still for a bit. You deserve to recharge.
you ever just think about the bond between Lando and Jon and how it's so strong and deeply rooted in love and respect and how they've both grown together over the decade+ they've known each other
and how Jon's been there even when Lando's parents couldn't be, through some of what's been the highest highs and the lowest lows, some of the scariest moments and the ones most filled with joy
and how after Lando won the WDC title Jon's insta caption said thank you Lando for making our childhood dream come true and how he said thank you Adam and Cisca for trusting me to help your boy grow into the champion he is today

One piece of advice that’s always stuck with me is to never hold back a compliment. If you think someone looks nice/is doing a good job/is very talented tell them! Could improve someone’s day or make you a new friend.
ferrari has posted more about leo leclerc than they ever did about maya weug and i think that speaks volumes about how women are treated in motorsports
i feel like everything important about the zc situation has been said by people who have put it way better than i ever could, but it feels like the right moment to thank some people.
thank you to everyone who writes fics for huge ships, even if it feels like there‘s an abundance of stories already. thank you to everyone who writes fics for rarepairs, even if the pool of potential readers is incredibly small. thank you to everyone who creates fanart, whether it‘s a quick sketch in procreate or a really elaborate piece you spent hours on.
thank you to people creating heartbreaking web weaves. thank you to people creating gifs and f1 incorrect quotes and moodboards and memes and edits. thank you to people sharing their thoughts and headcanons and prompts.
thank you to everyone who (respectfully!) comments, sends in asks or reblogs and leaves some encouring words in the tags and thus motivates others to keep creating. you are just as essential to the fandom as the people creating the things you engage with.
thank you to everyone who adheres to rpf etiquette and archive locks their fics on ao3, posts about ships only on tumblr, ao3 and private discord servers and refrains from sharing fics or even refering to the ships outside of fandom spaces.
and lastly, thank you to everyone who respects other fans, writers and artists. take care of yourself and others. i‘m so grateful for you all <3
