Cape Verde

Once colonised by the Portuguese, Cape Verde, located off the coast of Senegal in West Africa, is one of Africa’s most stable and liberal democracies. Here, the population of about 500,000 people enjoy a high standard of living. 

There are 10 main islands and 8 smaller islets. Cape Verde offers a vast variety of scenery. Some islands are incredibly mountainous, even volcanic, while others feature deserted, white sandy beaches, and pristine jungle. This variety means there are plenty of exciting outdoors activities to enjoy. These include canyoning, hiking, surfing, diving among shipwrecks, and swimming with whales.
