Touring historic attractions in the evening
Day 2: College Access
On day two we tutored students at the Maya Angelou school. The school hosted us for a panel discussion about the perceptions of college and how they line up with reality.
Day 2: College Access
On day two, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at alumni Marc Daltons residence. There we met other alumni and talked about the changes occurring at Wake Forest.
Day 3: NYC. Visited the Century Foundation to have a discussion about the issues surrounding college access, along with a talk about both policy and procedures that influence the education system as a whole.
Day 3. Explored NYC, including visits to tourist attractions, museums and more.
Day 3: NYC. Went to a debate about if public college should be free at NYU, moderated by Melissa Harris-Perry.
We had dinner with Adam Serwer, National Editor of BuzzFeed and Jamelle Bouie, Slate Chief Political Correspondent. Thank you for your time!
