Regular bears tell stories of angel bears sent by the Bear God, pure white and twice as strong as any normal bear could be, who rule the summit of the Earth and kill all who stand in their path.

And they are right, those bears exist and totally do that. Humans just have fake angels as a cope.

The only species that can regularly kill you also regularly ventures into your territory with boxes full of delicious food and falls asleep without securing them. Some of them might use their loud-death-sticks on you but odds are good if you show up at night they'll just run away screaming and you get all their food.

Partner and I were playing scribbl.io with some friends and I got the prompt "minion" and I drew this

And everyone guessed it except my partner, and I kept adding more stuff to it, growing desperate as the timing ran out, and the whole time my partner was like "What is that. I've never fucking seen that. Is that some kind of cereal mascot" and I was getting sooo heated I was like starting to yell irl WHAT DO YOU MEEEAN WHAT IS THAT, YOU KNOW WHAT THAT IS, DON'T PLAY WITH M-- you're ragebaiting me right now, you MUST be.

I kept adding more shit to it until it eventually looked like:

And finally the timer ran out and the answer was revealed and my partner was like "Ohhh the height seemed a little off" and I swear to you my vision blacked out for a second

I love my partner more than anything but for the remaining like half hour we played every single time they guessed anything right I'd be like "OH? THE HEIGHT WAS CORRECT? WAS IT CORRECT THIS TIME?" and when they guessed wrong I'd be like "AH, I SEE THE HEIGHT WAS INCORRECT. THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAVE FIXED THE HEIGHT" and they'd be like "You are SO angry"

People really underestimate the power of just telling someone you like them. romantically obviously but hell even just platonically too. You can admit you enjoy peoples presence it doesn’t have to be mind games it’s okay to just be sincere and true with your thoughts and intentions btw

what is poetry?

you know how, when you’re a young kid, your parents take you to visit a lake, and you’re doing all that fun young kid stuff like cannonballs off the dock, digging your toes into the mud, pretending to be a mermaid or a manatee or submarine captain? when suddenly the clouds that had covered the sun move aside, and the surface of the lake is touched everywhere with bright gold flecks of light, and you stop what you’re doing to stare in awe at something you’d never realized before was so heart-wrenchingly beautiful? and the moment is gone as quick as it came, you’re right back to splashing water at one of your siblings, but that night, after showers and dinner and climbing into bed, just before you fall asleep, the image of the sun-kissed lake returns to you, hazy with your almost-dreaming but still so warm and striking? poetry is the written act of recognizing the way the light touches the water and the way that you looking at this changes you
