1.turn off every light in your room. the lights can distract you from your actual goal of an 8 hour nap. trust me, i know. meditation could help you with your focus too.
2.silence can give you a thousand reasons to stay awake and think about everything. turn on a fan or something to create an ambient noise. it'll help.
3.food. i know we all get hungry two minutes before we go to bed but don't do it. food is your worst enemy. you'll fell super tired in the mornings and you will gain weight pretty quickly. eat at least an hour before bed. you will sleep and feel better.
4. tea or any warm drinks without sugar can assist you with your sleep. tea normally has natural herbs designed for calming your mind so thinking too much at 12am should either slow down or just stop. for example, chamomile tea can help you relax your muscles, strengthen your immune system, and reduce anxiety.
5.cooling the room a little will increase your blood flow to keep you warm. this takes a lot of the rest of the energy you have stored in your body. this can increase or maintain your metabolism while you sleep. it can also help you lose weight and keep you from diseases that specifically affect your blood flow and blood sugar levels.
