Honestly stupid ass thought honestly, but I can't stop thinking of in the timeskip of 'where is the "good" in goodbye' where Inupi and Draken find Takemichi and like their reaction to it Michi had a damn child after all these years. Like fuckin adopted and saved a kid like he saved the others.
She could be his kid probably idfk it's late I should be asleep rn
Ooof takopi jumpscare. Rest well!
Honestly, I can't imagine Hanagaki being a good parent. Like, he'd love the kid, but is he a good role model? Can he support the kid? Financially or otherwise? Maybe if the kid is one of those "reincarnated" kids you find in child-rearing fantasies, where it's actually an adult in the baby's body. But in that verse, doubt it. Going in and out of the hospital, traveling to find the right doctor trying to triangulate a diagnosis is a nightmare as it is, but to have a young snd impressionable child dragged along for the ride? That kid would never get a chance to be a kid. Like, she's got enough on her plate. She doesn't need this on top of it.
Idk, I have a lot of opinions on children and parenting so it's not something I'll ever write.
I have a lot fo vague plans for Good in Goodbye. Hopefully, I'll remember to post it.
verse: the sum of all my feelings should always be less than yours
summary: OG epilogue that got scrapped
ship: draken/takemichi
"..Man, I thought my heart would leap out of my chest!" Hanagaki said, finishing the regalement of their past that Draken probably remembered very differently. Hands over his chest, he fell backwards and kicked his legs a little like a schoolgirl with her first crush. If maturity meant that he didn't feel like this anymore, then he was okay being a child forever. "You were so cool, Ken!"
"...You think I'm not cool now?" he prompted as he came out of the kitchen while toweling his hands. He arched his eyebrow at him, before he paused to throw the towel somewhere behind him. When he turned back around, the light caught on the ring he wore on a chain around his neck, and Hanagaki felt like he was melting.
Still, he pretended. He tapped his chin, and had the audacity to pretend to think about it. He watched the way Draken rolled his eyes, but there was a smile tugging at the corners of his lips, the way he always did when he was with someone that he adored and was annoyed by in equal measures. The sudden thought struck him again. Hanagaki had no idea how he lucked out.
"I guess you're okay," he said, contemplative, but his heart still thundered when their eyes met.
Draken loomed over him, and Hanagaki gave him a cheeky grin.
"Prepare yourself," Draken said, a lop-sided grin on his face, "I'll show you how cool I am all night."
Hanagaki broke down in laughter, lest he lost himself in the abyss of flustered expectations, and Draken scowled.
"Don't laugh!"
But when he leaned down to kiss him, to hold his face still while he peppered kisses all over his brow and cheeks, one of his hands would trail down to the chain on Hanagaki's neck with a matching ring.
"You won't be laughing by the time I'm done with you."
Draken kissed the ring, the threat becoming a promise, and sealed it with a kiss.

summary: deleted scene. OG ending.
a/n: when i first tried posting the story, this was the ending sitting in it. i didn't like it, but i didn't know why. ao3 went down as i hit "post" so i sat with the draft a little longer and was like "oh shit it's a time loop aint it" and that's the thing that got posted instead. anyways, here's the og ending if anyone cares.
warning: homophobia
This would be Hanagaki Takemichi's one and only loss, Draken thought to himself. He held the young man close and closed his eyes.
He'd make sure of it.
"Takemichi," he called out, and Hanagaki turned around, eyes wide as Draken took his hand into his.
"Uh?" Hanagaki stared at their hands, eyes glued to them. Draken wondered what it was like, for a love to be so consuming that just holding hands made him like this. His heart fluttered in his chest as he looked at Hanagaki, and wondered how the guy worked with this kind of feeling.
"...You know, I'm still not a homo," he said.
Hanagaki tensed, and Draken wondered if this was a habit that he could break. He wanted, so badly, to be the reason why all the shitty pieces of the world that was dealt to them would slowly come back together, the way Hanagaki went out and did it for him. He took a deep breath, felt like his hands were too sweaty, and continued on.
"But I think you're really cool."
"Huh?"
He gave him a lopsided grin, "But I'm more selfish than you," he said. "I want you to smile at me more."
He leaned in closer, letting their noses bump into each other. Hanagaki's eyes were wide, and it felt like he stopped breathing. Draken clenched his jaw, and told himself to be brave. He could feel the heat in his face, how it burned, and he willed his heart to stop pounding so loudly or else Hanagaki would hear it.
Kissing Hanagaki's scratchy lips, Draken felt a love that transcended time.

summary: deleted scene. Ran and Rindo corner Takemichi
a/n: originally i wanted draken to eavesdrop on this too but i thought the fic was too long
warning: homophobia
Ran frowned.
"Aren't homos supposed to be good at dressing themselves?"
Hanagaki scowled. "I'm not a homo. I only like Draken-kun."
Rindo wrinkled his nose like he smelled something foul. "Why?"
"Because Draken-kun is cool."
"Hm, so you'll be falling for me soon?" Ran asked, gaze cold and voice frosty.
"Huh?" Hanagaki's eyebrows furrowed in confusion, "Why?"
Rindo pointed at Ran and laughed until a drink came flying at him. Hanagaki tried to step back, in a desperate attempt to flee for his life, and Ran's cold voice reached him next.
"Where do you think you're going?" he asked, lips stretched into an extremely unfriendly smile. His arm came around his shoulders, and Hanagaki wondered if it was faster to die from Ran's fist or whatever it was that they wanted to take him to do.
"Y-You can do whatever you want with me," Hanagaki blurted out, "but my heart and soul is only for Draken-kun!"
"He can't be that great," Rindo said, wiping his glasses with Hanagaki's shirt. "No wait, he's not that great. What did he do for you to fall?"
"Huh?" Hanagaki's eyebrows furrowed. "What do you mean? It's Draken-kun."
"Well, there's a reason why you like him, right?" Ran asked, "Even though I'm better."
The furrow didn't smooth out, "What do you mean? He's Draken-kun," Hanagaki said, like that was explanation enough. The look on the Haitaini's face was priceless, though Hanagaki must think it was normal. "He doesn't need to do anything. It's just my feelings."
"So what, he can beat you and leave you and you'll still like him?" Rindo teased out, tone merciless.
"Wha?" Hanagaki leaned away from him, as best he could with his entire body caught under his arm. He wiggled a little more desperately to escape his grip, and no one would know what Ran was thinking in that moment.
As though understanding something, Ran released him and walked away. Rindo frowned at his brother, looking back at Hanagaki, opened his mouth, and then closed it. He worked his jaw, throwing his gaze behind him to his brother, before he looked back at Hanagaki.
"My brother and I are really good at beating people," he said, and then, like it wasn't clear enough, lifted his fist up. Hanagaki flinched at the sight, but Rindo didn't seem to notice, "with our fists."
He nodded at him.
"Later, Hanagaki."
He headed out, and Hanagaki felt like there was nothing that could prepare him for the Haitani's.

Ship: Draken/Takemichi
Summary: Deleted Scene. Emma and Takemichi talk about Emma and Draken breaking up.
"I broke up with Draken."
Hanagaki shot out of his seat, startled. "Y-You what?"
He ran around the table they were at and kneeled in front of her. Peering up at her, no one would think that this man learned that the person he loved most was now available on the market.
"...Are you hurt? Emma, are you okay? Did someone say something to you?"
She swatted his hands away, "Shut up."
"But you loved him."
She looked at Hanagaki and then lifted her hand up to push back his hair. A chunk of his ear, a chunk that would never come back, a chunk that he lost for Draken's (ex) girlfriend, came to view and she smiled back.
"No," she said. "I don't think I did."
"Huh?"
"Just... Ken-chin... Ken-chin's one of the only guys that Mikey's okay with, you know? And that he was okay with Mikey, too. And I..."
She looked at Hanagaki.
"I think I want to experience it for myself. A real love. One that I actually work for. Not something that happened because it was convenient. I want to make sure that this feeling is really love."
"...Emma..."
"And I thought you would be happy about this," she said, a frown on her face.
"Why would I be happy about my friends breaking up?"
"Because you love Ken-chin. Aren't you happy that I'm out of the way now?"
Hanagaki shook his head, "Emma, I like you, too," he said. He stared at her, watched the way her eyes widened, and shook his head, "Of course, I want you to be happy."
She stared at him for another long moment, and a small smile started to form on her face. Not getting why she was smiling, and assuming that she was just trying to be strong for him, he continued on.
"I love Draken," he said. "So I just want him to be happy." He gave a helpless shrug. "There's no way he'd ever like me. I'm okay with that. I confessed knowing that. I didn't confess because I wanted him to like me."
She stared at him for another long moment.
"Is that okay?" she asked. "Takemitchy, is that really okay?"
He nodded his head, "He doesn't owe me anything. And I sure as hell don't want you to be unhappy."
"But you'll do everything for him?"
Hanagaki gave her a grin, full of confidence and 100% stupidity, "That's why we call it love, right?"
Emma stared at him and then looked down at the table. Her eyes watered, and Hanagaki felt something grip his chest.
"Emma-chan? What's wrong? Do you want to go to the hospital? Does something hurt?"
It wasn't, she thought, but she stood up and grabbed his arm.
"Buy me everything that I want today!" she declared, "I broke up with my shitty boyfriend so I'm going to eat whatever I want! I'm a free woman now! Come, Takemitchy! We have to celebrate and enjoy our singlehood!"
"Wait, Emma-chan, please, think about my wallet!"
And she laughed, and laughed, because she wanted Hanagaki to laugh, too. Because she had a love too, and all she wanted was for that love to smile and laugh. Her hand gripped his tightly, and hoped for all the happiness and blessings for her savior and her (shitty) ex-boyfriend (but mainly Hanagaki, who could get Mikey out of bed before noon with a smile on his face).
But this, for just this afternoon, this was hers.
She turned around, bright, vibrant, beautiful, alive, and gave a wide grin to Hanagaki.
Verse: the sum of all my feelings should always be less than yours
Summary: Deleted scene. "How do I make someone love me?"
A/N: this spawned another story so maybe another Draken/Takemichi up-coming
"How do I make someone love me?"
Baji opened his mouth and Hanemiya stuffed his mouth with an orange before he could say anything.
"I'm pretty sure that Takemitchy loves you," Mitsuya said, "Otherwise, I wouldn't be single."
A strangled sound left Baji as he tried to punch Hanemiya, spit the orange out, and yell at Mitsuya. Unable to do everything, he ended up spitting the orange at Mitsuya while punching Hanemiya in the gut. Mitsuya scowled at them, wiping where he was hit and throwing the water in his cup at Baji. He missed and caught Hanemiya, who was now drenched and aching. He slowly picked his head up, the promise of death on his face.
"He just," Draken scowled, "doesn't even try."
"Takemitchy?" Smiley snorted, a smile on his face, "All he does is try."
And that was the problem, wasn't it?
"You just need to pin him down and make him yours," Baji finally managed to say as he dodged a swing from Hanemiya. "Make it so that he can't live without you. I would have done it by now but Chifuyu keeps getting in the way."
"That's a crime," Hanemiya said, "And one I'd be willing to do if Baji stopped stopping me." Skillfully, he dodged the next swing Baji took at him and kicked him in the leg.
Baji went sailing towards Mitsuya, and without hesitation, Mitsuya smacked him to the ground with a cold smile. His oldest friend turned to stare at Draken for another moment.
"Draken, get your shit together."
The teen paused at that, and carefully thought about it.
Notes: deleted scene from the fic that i can't post because ao3 is down
It wasn't a particularly beautiful memory or anything. It wasn't something glamorous and shiny.
It was just Draken being Draken, and Hanagaki, staring at him.
"What a hot fucking day," Draken said, dropping on the seat next to him as he passed Hanagaki a drink from the vending machine. "You'd think the rain would make it cooler but now it's just gross and humid," he called out. The rain pelted down, as though threatening to flood the world. There was no way they were going to ride out in this, so they were going to wait it out. It was a couple of extra minutes that Hanagaki could see Draken, and he couldn't think of a more wonderful thing.
Draken scowled at the sky and pulled his phone out, probably to let Mitsuya or someone know that they were going to be late.
Meanwhile, Hanagaki couldn't help but notice the shine on Draken's face, the glimmer in his eyes, the way he rolled his eyes, and how the whole world seemed to fit in the arc of that curve. The rain could drown out the world, but Draken would remain here.
"...Takemitchy?" his voice was louder than the rain, the thunder, and Hanagaki's throbbing heart, "The heat getting to you or something?"
And it wasn't the summer heat, but it was heat. And it wasn't something like a once-in-a-millennium comet, or the storm of a century, but something else entirely. It was the thing that slowed the world down, like Hanagaki could feel the earth changing trajectory to keep this smile a little longer, and Hanagaki had never been more content to be so helplessly powerful.
It was Draken, arching an eyebrow at him before kicking him in the leg.
Hanagaki groaned at the pain, but he finally snapped out of his thoughts.
"...Takemitchy?"
"Huh?"
"You with me now?" he gave him a lopsided grin.
At that time, Hanagaki should have said, "always."
He didn't remember what he actually said, but it was probably something stupid and dumb. It probably was, when all he remembered was the way the rain stopped and the sun returned. And he was awestruck, the way people were rendered speechless in front of the glorious. Sunlight framed Draken like it was made for the sole purpose of making Draken look stunning. Clouds parted as though to share the fleeting time they had with him with even the sky.
And Hanagaki thought that time was both a blessing and a curse.
My favorite is probably slow and irreversible process (Hanma/Takemichi) or Being Stupid (Baji/Takemichi). I say that, but it's a tough call because I really enjoyed writing them all.
There are a bunch of stories I haven't posted yet (working on it) that would easily take top 3 though.
AHHH!! I love Santake so much!! Thank you, author, you made me so happy with the latest chapter of Expiration Date of Loyalty. AHH!! Sanzu is completely insane 😭💖
It's not really santake, but thank you for enjoying it
inspired by your replies to brainrot anon’s asks, what are some other self indulgent hcs do you have?
Goodness, I have so many.... here's another handful that has no basis in reality
Hanma sucks at video games
Kisaki and Takemichi have been kicked out of restaurants (Hanma's fault usually) and banned but most of them relax their rules for Takemichi after a week but hold grudges against Kisaki.
Kisaki allows them to stay in business because Takemichi still likes eating there (without Kisaki btw, the owners have favorites)
Baji never asks Takemichi of any favor because he's scared to "waste" them and thinks that the only favor Takemichi ever needs to do for him is to stay alive
Matsuno has a special stuffed animal at Takemichi's place. Little did he know, it's also Inui's favorite to sit with.
Baji's mom terrifies Takemichi, everyone knows it, and she started to respect him because even trembling in front of her, he stood up to defend Baji's bad grades and said it was not resemblance of Baji's character.
The first time Ran realized that he liked Takemichi, he lopped his hair off for a cleaner look because he thought that a drastic change would catch Takemichi's attention
Ran was horribly jealous of Kakucho, Takemichi, and Izana's "impossible to become enemies" dynamic and took it out on Rindo in hopes that Takemichi will rush in to save them like he did everyone else (he didn't)
Rindo never learned why and thought his brother was just going through puberty
Rindo never understood the difference between home and "home" until he showed up to stay over at Takemichi's and bummed off of him for a month
Matsuno goes through Takemichi's socks to make sure they are all bundled and folded into matching sets
Yamagishi goes through Takemichi's socks and make sure that they are all mismatched
Almost all of the games and movies at Takemichi's place are other people's
Akane falls for Takemichi in a cute first crush from afar and Kokonoi declares Takemichi his eternal rival
Kokonoi goes through a hard teenage angst phase when he realizes he is not immune to the Takemichi-charm
Kisaki planned a wedding between him and Takemichi starting the 5th grade. He threw it away when he joined Manji because he thought it would make him cool and stronger. By the following summer, he drafted his wedding plans and how to strategically place Manji execs and ultimately realized that he needed to be rich to have an ambulance and trauma surgeon team ready to go
Takemichi is tone-deaf. South learns this the hard way
Takemichi is health conscious in the way middle-aged men are, and Mitsuya thinks it's endlessly endearing to watch Takemichi grimace while eating green peppers and happily loads him up on it
Draken once referred to his ride and Takemichi's as their kids and Shinichiro will never let him live it down
Mucho thinks that feeding people is how to become friends
Takemichi and his parents never talk or meet up past graduation
It's very difficult for anyone to lie to Takemichi, the same way that Takemichi is just a terrible liar
Takemichi has met Father Shiba once, and yelled at him and tried to hit him over his treatment for his family, and since then they have awkward full family calls and dinner once a month (that Takemichi is sometimes dragged to)
Kiyomasa owns a bar and Takemichi always drinks free. The stupid amount of business on days following is too good and now it's just habit.
Taiju hates when Takemichi eats anywhere that isn't his restaurant
Takemichi used to room with Draken and Mitsuya before he realized that he was living way too comfortably and depended on them and despite all their insisting, left and got himself a place to be independently sloppy
Hanagaki has forgotten to pay the rent for the last four months but he doesn't know that (also ignorant to the in-fighting of who will pay for it without him knowing)
“Vow renewal without witnesses” really sold BajiTake for me, Baji’s actions and thoughts were so beautifully written. I felt my heart ache for both Baji and the others boys who did not luck out as much as Baji did.
Thank you for that.
I really liked writing that one! What an honor for someone to like it as well ^^
Baji is also one of the characters that I often have to try and pry off of Hanagaki. In my crazy and delusional mind, I love the idea of Baji who has a lot of issues with adults who are dishonest and two-faced and not direct. Then, he meets Hanagaki. And he lies so that Hanagaki doesn't worry, and he pretends things aren't a big deal so Hanagaki relaxes, and Baji, who told himself that he would protect his friends especially the friends that were weaker than him, is always the one that was protected. One of my favorite tropes, aauuuuu.
With that said, many of my verses feel like Baji is repeated, but I can't help it, I love this guy written like this.
For that story specifically, I had this song stuck in my head for hours and it all came flooding out. It really wrote itself, and I was just the vessel that happened to write it lol. I have a story somewhere where Masaru is not-great and treats Hanagaki not-great, and then the others get their hands on him but before that, and this came out first, lol.
Tl;dr: the Baji that accepts becoming the worst version of himself for Hanagaki's comfort and well-being is my kink
you don’t have to answer if it’s uncomfortable or you do not wish to :) have a great day either way <3
I have SO MUCH LMAO. If I ever get around to posting it, I hope it lived up to expectations.
the one i am most eagerly writing is the one where various guys are driving themselves insane trying to figure out who is leaving marks on Takemichi, so they leave more marks to make it MORE obvious WHO Takemichi was with.
and meanwhile, Takemichi is just happy o have his friends lal alive and well, even if they're a little weird
I just recently read your K-Pop Demon Hunters fics (loved it btw) and it lead to me thinking about a TR boy-band AU.
Who do you think would make a perfect boy-band member?
or rather, what members would the boy-band consist of?
If Takemichi was an Idol, I can imagine his Harem being die-hard fans 🤭
Thank you for enjoying my fics. I have a moderate amount of joy for kpop demon hunters lol.
But Uhhhhhhh.... hmmm.... personally, I would never write a boy-band verse, and especially not an idol-verse. I didn't really think that any of the tr guys loved music, esp not making and writing it. However, I am not a very musical person so I would probably never write one.
What inspired you to write Expired Date of Loyalty? It’s one of my favourite fanfiction of all time❤️
Thank you for patiently enjoying it!
Short answer: I thought it would be funny to write angry omega story.
Longer answer:
Uhhhhhh, honestly, it's my least liked story, so of all the stories I have, it got posted (relatively) first. I don't really like omegaverses. Obviously, that meant that I would have a brain-blast in the shower and run to my laptop because I had this IDEA and it would not leave me alone.
First, I figured the only thing I would write would be anger. Then, Takemichi proved to me that he was not angry, just lost. Then, the story decided to do whatever it wanted so I stopped bothering to fight it. When I'm done with the story (hopefully soon), I will share all my personal notes and thoughts in the very boring end notes. Until then!
I like omegaverses because they're already pre-baked and loaded for easy smut and brainless shipping that makes no sense but is still acceptable. The simplicity of it made it a perfect set-up for my favorite trope: domestic harem. I wanted to see if I can write a story where everyone keeps their unique charm in the most unrealistic settings possible. Every chapter makes me feel like I am drifting further and further away from the reality that I want tho...
I don't have any real plans for this story. I started writing with a few scenes, did my best to skip the beginning, and moved on to the parts I wanted to write instead, hehe. I was really surprised when people enjoy it, especially since I don't think it really lives up to the "omgeaverse" trope. But this is the story I wrote lol.
Thanks for reading it! I hope you will continue to enjoy it until the end.
Hihihi, yesss the Haitani’s — I completely forgot about them 😂 but the claws would definitely come out to play when it comes to Takemichi, I love their dynamic with Takemichi so much, someone like Ran would be a romanticist whereas Rindou is more so tsundere vibes ? lmao I can’t really explain it 😆…
Rindou’s dislike for Ran might even grow if Ran keeps ruining or crashing in on his and Takemichi’s personal day out. Although that’s just the standard for anyone who spends a day with Takemichi by themselves… there’s just always someone, somewhere lurking 👀
OH MAN. The Haitanis..... so they're a little more free form in my stories but they pretty much boil down to three(ish) possibilities...
But anyways, I have their stories in the back-burner somewhere and i hope i can post them one day!
1) the late bloomers - and by the time they realize that, they understand that they love the Takemichi that loves someone else. hehehe.
2) ran-route - where ran learns human decency and rindo is sitting there like a traumatized dog, waiting for the other shoe to drop
3) rindo-route - where rindo learns the weight and constraints of love and relishes in it, usually ends up with ran who becomes (1)
