Hathor is an Ancient Egyptian goddess who personified the principles of love, beauty, music, motherhood and joy. She was one of the most important and popular deities throughout the history of Ancient Egypt. Hathor was worshiped by Royalty and common people alike in whose tombs she is depicted as “Mistress of the West” welcoming the dead into the next life. In other roles she was a goddess of music, dance, foreign lands and fertility who helped women in childbirth, as well as the patron goddess of miners.

After planning my November this morning, which includes a ritual to get rid of the negative energy, since Waning moon rules the Darker half of the year, I also picked out a Goddess Hathor..that sprang from a new book I got, it claims she was a Goddess who represented Feelings and Emotions. I figured I would research into her, I’ve never heard of her before.

As with most Deity’s she seems to have gathered up a few different attributes. I’m thinking of the Idea of her representing the Mother aspect of Triple Goddess.

Looking forwarding to working with Hathor.

Still need to research why some claim shes a solar goddess and some lunar?

How she was there at the creation of things, yet was then a Cow Goddess, to then having a temple built in her honour.
